Wanted to keep this find to myself, however Graham & Sarah deserve to credit for a beautiful home.. It was spotless and very comfortable with every little detail thought of. Top class accommodation. Within easy repack of places to visit and do. Would recommend Cambridge, Ely and the beautiful Angelsey Abbey. Had a meal in the 5 miles from nowhere pub, good food and lovely location. Would defiantly recommend this accommodation, 5 star.

The property was in a fantastic location for us to access all the surrounding highlights including Wicken Fen which is a lovely nature reserve.. The owners were very helpful with information and were there if we needed them. Our best property we have ever stayed in. Thank you.

Bittern cottage is stunning.. So spacious and well equipped. Our dog loved the garden. Sarah and Graham the owners were lovely and very helpful. Great base. We cycled to Ely and also around Wicken. We drove to Newmarket and got the train from Newmarket to Bury st edmunds. We got the park and ride from milton into Cambridge and also visited St Ives. We loved them all. Ate at the Maids Head and the Five miles inn both good.

Bittern Cottage exceeded our expectations, it certainly had a 'Wow' factor.. It was furnished and equipped to a high standard and it was lovely to come back and relax in such pleasant surroundings. Our dog certainly enjoyed the garden and the run of the enclosed field behind, courtesy of the very friendly owners. All in all one of the best holidays we've had.

Bittern Cottage is beautiful the photographs don't really do it justice, the owners are lovely very friendly & helpful.. The cottage is in a lovely area ,we enjoyed some lovely walks in Wicken Fen, we also visited Ely & Cambridge. We would love to stay again as there's so much else we didn't get to see.

We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of this cottage.. The owners have thought of everything when equipping this property, and it is very clean and spacious. The garden is fully fenced off, so that dogs and children can play safely. We found some interesting places to visit and close by is a lovely windmill and Wicken Fen, which has a great cycle trail that is fairly clear of traffic. There are quite a few places to eat locally, and the owners compiled a folder containing information on these and other places of interest. It was a lovely break, and the owners were really kind and helpful. We highly recommend Bittern Cottage as a great place to stay.

Over the years I have stayed in many cottages in many locations and I must say that Bittern cottage is probably the best in terms of the building itself, the quality of the furnishings and its situation.. The owners , Sarah and Graham , live nearby and are a very friendly couple.

Loved the airy and spacious cottage.. Loved the fact that we could see the puppy playing safely out in the garden, from both lounge and bedroom , at all times. Adjacent to the garden was a paddock of sorts that we were also able to use . This enabled walks without having to go along the main road. We would definitely recommend Bittern Cottage.

A lovely 2 bedroom property located between Ely and Cambridge.. This new build property is done to the highest standards and has a top quality finish. Living room is very big with wooden beams and underfloor heating. Set of patio doors that lead out to a well presented garden. Good size kitchen with dining table in. 2 good size bedrooms with plenty of storage space and a good size bathroom. We used the property as a base for exploring the area. Good for nature lovers and people who like to walk. There is a pub in the village of Wicken that is alright for a drink but is a bit pricey for the average food on offer. Do your homework and you will find nice pubs in neighbouring villages. I would highly recommend this very modern, high end property for families, walkers and nature lovers. A big thumbs up for a family holiday.

BIttern Cottage is one of the best we've stayed in; extremely spacious, clean, well equipped, warm, cosy and private with very friendly, helpful and unobtrusive owners.. Great location for both walking and visiting the many nearby cities/towns/NT properties.

December 2017
Beautiful cottage, warm welcome from owners Sarah, Graham and Dillon, very comfortable, plenty of room, we had 6 friends come for the evening and no problem, our dog enjoyed the enclosed garden and the walks around Wicken Fen (no need to go inside National Trust) plenty of off-road paths around open countryside, the only negative is shops a short drive away and our problem being old foggiest is we didn’t understand the high spec TV but we didn’t watch it very much anyway so all in all we had a very nice stay and would definitely have no hesitation to recommend it to everyone..

The cottage is amazing, well equipped and outlook was fabulous.. Sarah and Graham could not do enough for us and have worked so hard to get this cottage to the high standard it is. I would not hesitate to book the cottage again.
