We had a wonderful Christmas in this very spacious and well equipped house it was ideal for our large family party of 13, ages ranging from 14 months to 90 years.. Just a couple of minutes walk from the seafront and short walk to the town centre and having Morrisons close by was so convenient for food shopping. The festive wreath on the front door and decorated tree in the lounge was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated by us all.

We used this house for a 70th birthday celebration - 9 adults and 2 small children. It was perfect. Very well equipped kitchen, lovely and warm in November, comfortable bedrooms, lots of en suite shower rooms, 2 minutes walk from the sea and 5 minutes walk from the town and from Morrisons. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to use it again ourselves.

Had a wonderful family holiday at Birch House - 19 family members from 82yrs down to 6 months! The house is 5-10mins walk to the beautiful beach and pier and even closer to Morrison's which is very handy when catering for a crowd. There are 2 car parking spaces and a public car park close if needed, although most of us were able to park on the road for some of the time. It is a perfect location which more than made up for the slight imperfections in the house. We would thoroughly recommend it - this is a stunning part of the world and there are loads of wonderful things to do in the area.

Lovely airy house with lots of space to socialise.. Garden (bit of a sun trap the week we were there), living room and large dining room on the ground floor and airy living room on the first floor. Very close to the town centre, beach and pier and with a large supermarket within walking distance so very convenient for a family holiday. House well equipped with two fridges and a full size freezer in the kitchen, well equipped utility room and bedrooms well furnished with very comfortable beds and neat bathrooms for most of the rooms. Lovely place for a family gathering.

Birch House is in an ideal location for families wanting a traditional seaside holiday. We had four generations (87years - 17months). Within a short distance from the house is the beach and pier, a lovely children's playground and the small Amazona Zoo plus a good Morrisons supermarket. The house has ample space for large groups with enough shower rooms for everyone though only one bath for small children. However it is perhaps not ideal if anyone has limited mobility as the ground floor bedroom is not ensuite and the ground floor shower room is a bit of a hike through the small sitting room and kitchen. Also no showers have any grab handles. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery and pans etc. I did buy a couple of sharp knives as those provided were not particularly sharp! A large teapot would be appreciated as all those in the cupboard were very small though there were lots of them! At the back of the house is a parking space for two cars but it is tight and very tricky for a larger vehicle to manoeuvre in and out. Street parking in the road at the front is free but space is at a premium so as our group had four cars between us at least one ended up in the paying car park every day. All in all our overall verdict was a great holiday in a perfect location. It was great to find such a large house so ideally suited to what we wanted.

We had a great stay. House was perfect for our family get together. Bedrooms clean, bathrooms clean. Furnishings and soft furnishings are homely and clean if a little dated. Large communal rooms and dining room. Very well equipped kitchen and utility room. Great location, close to beach, shops, restaurants and bus and train station. Also, a large Morrisons is about a two minute walk away. No problem with parking. We parked at the back or on the street. Never had to use the car park though it would have been easy to do.

There was plenty of room for all of us with enough en suites. The location was absolutely perfect for us and all of the family were very impressed. Just right for our family of 14 members to come and go. We had a wonderful time thank you and will certainly like to come again.

We were an extended family group of 12 adults and 5 children enjoying a birthday celebration weekend. The house is very clean, bedrooms are good and shower/bath facilities are excellent. It has a lovely spacious dining room and the kitchen, though not large, is up to date and well-equipped. Parking is slightly tricky, it has 2 spaces at the back, street parking is sometimes full, but there is a reasonably priced public car park at the back. Would like to have been there longer.

The location was close to the beach and town. It was a large and warm property on 4 floors allowing children to have their own space. It was very family friendly, there were lots of games for all ages and a large book collection.

Excellent, affordable accommodation for our large family group for our pre-Christmas get-together. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need and the starter provisions provided were much appreciated - as were the fact that heating and hot water is included. Most bedrooms were en suite and some areas of the house were newly decorated. We have booked for next year already!

We were a group of Ladies who Quilt, we had a wonderful week, the weather was glorious and we each had a bedroom with a shower or bath, the dining room was just the right size and fitted us round with sewing machines too, thanks and we are thinking of coming back next year,

The accommodation is perfect for a large group. The kitchen is well stocked for large parties and the dining room has plenty of space. The two lounges give ample space for communal living, particularly the main lounge upstairs, but the bedrooms, mostly en-suite, give privacy for those that want to escape the hubbub of loads of people talking at the same time.

So many bedrooms with en suites! A great stove, sufficient hot water and close to centre of town, beach, supermarket and train station.

The accommodation was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for a very large group. We had two elderly members of the group and the ground floor layout with a bedroom, bathroom, dining room and a second sitting room was ideal. It was a 5 minute walk from both the town centre and the beach and pier area.

The land lady was very friendly and helpful and resolved a few minor problems very quickly and efficiently. The house was old but with character and I believe renovated recently. A great place for a family/friends get together.
