Best’s Cottage is warm and cosy and has great character with amazing views of the harbour. It is ideally situated near the shops, bars and restaurants. We had a great time during our stay. People are friendly and very helpful. The neighbours are also very friendly and lovely to chat to and give tips. Fab place.

A fantastic location overlooking the Harbour - although the view is only seen from the main bedroom and a partial view from the lounge. Great for walking, restaurants and shopping!

Comfortable atmosphere and in an excellent position with lovely views of the harbour and out to sea. Pleasant sitting at the window of the main bedroom, or outside the front door, looking at the harbour, watching fishing boats going in at the end of the day and listening to the gulls and all the sounds of the harbour. Well equipped, quite novel kitchen space.

There were six adults and one dog in our party. Best's cottage was charming. We all had a wonderful time. We hope to visit again, it is difficult for us all to get the same time off work but may return as smaller parties, due to the fantastic value for money. Thank you for a good sevice and the caretakers were amazing and really lovely. I think we all needed a break and we were all so happy to be able to unwind in such a good place. The harbour and the local people were welcoming to say the least.

We loved the quirky, old fashioned doors and the lovely views over the harbour. The caretaker lives nearby and is very friendly and helpful.

There were only 2 of us staying in a 5 bed property which would affect value for money, but it was worth it for the views and the convenient place for spending the evening in Megavissey, drinking and eating in very characterful pubs, without driving. It was 'Feast Week' as well which added to the character of the place.

Best's Cottage is wonderfully situated for views over the harbour and for walks around the town and harbour. It does not appear to be in the brochure for 2008 - is it? If it is we might book again!

If you want to take your dog on holiday this place is perfect. A short walk leads to a large field, or a walk by the cliffside. The cottage is well equipped for both humans and dogs. Excellent!

We fully enjoyed every aspect of our holiday, the cottage had all amenities and the neighbours/caretakers were very friendly, topped with the fantastic weather we did not want to come home. Additonal items such as dogbowls, ironing board etc were a welcome suprise!!
