Fantastic place to stay clean tidy with everything you need to hand .. Lovely location with a convenient shop around the corner and a Fantastic Pub at the end of the road . If I was to nit pick the only thing I could say is the property inside is very dated with old style furniture and fittings etc but didn’t spoil our stay .
This lovely bungalow has everything you could want, the owners garden is just stunning and can be enjoyed from the accommodation.. The village of Barningham has everything you want, a pub that has an amazing menu and a village stores that seems to be 'open all hours', walks etc. I have just spent seven weeks in this accommodation, it felt like my second home.
Mr Byford, July 2020
This was our 2nd stay at the Berries, and enjoyed a restful week, host were most helpful..
Mr Hedgecock, November 2019
What a splendid place to have a relaxing holiday.. Although only having the one bedroom each room of the bungalow is spacious and extremely well appointed. The double bed is extremely comfortable, the kitchen area has all the facilities one could hope for, and the lounge / dining area is practical whilst retaining that homely feel to it.
Mr Smith, September 2019
Berries is a lovely, comfortable, bright, light, well equipped, clean and spacious house with lots of storage wardrobes and cupboards.. As soon as we were shown around by Joan it felt like a home and not just a house. The garden outside the lounge window with the large pond is such a delight. Barningham is a lovely village which has a Spar shop about 200 yds away and a local pub, but being vegetarian we found a good choice for us at The Swan at Coney Weston just up the road, lovely staff and worth a visit. Berries is ideal for a base and not too far from the coast but with lots to see quite near. I must mention the 100th Bomb Group War Museum, what a fabulous place with lovely people running it. All in all we had a great week and if we return to Suffolk would be booking Berries again. Perfect. Thank you Joan and Robert for sharing Berries.
Mrs Overbury-crowther, September 2019

Mr & Mrs Caley, August 2019
Delightful accommodation.. Beautiful garden. Friendly helpful hosts. Close to corner shop. Lovely country location, within comfortable driving distance of Bury St Edmund, Diss, and Thetford. Also, close enough to coast for days out.
Mr & Mrs Caley, July 2019
JOAN & BOB MET AND GREETED PROVIDING US WITH ALL WE NEEDED INFORMATION WISE .. THEY WERE NEVER INTRUSIVE BUT CAME ON REQUEST AS SOON AS WE HAD SOMETHING THAT NEEDED CLARIFICATION.......SORTED US OUT THEN DEPARTED. CONVERSATION THROUGHOUT THE WEEK IN PASSING WAS GENUINE AND FRIENDLY.
Mr Fletcher, June 2019
First class great place
Mr Hart, June 2019
Lovely bungalow, very clean.. Nice comfy bed. Please be aware if you have a dog the pub round the corner, The Royal George, does not allow dogs so we were unable to go there to eat which was a shame as the weather was awful and it would have been nice to have a dog friendly pub to eat out.
Mrs Clark, June 2019
The owners and the property were fine
The bungalow was well equipped with everything we needed.. Lovely comfortable bed, spacious lounge .Lovely and peaceful setting. Joan and Bob very nice people nothing to much trouble. Would definitely recommend this quite location.
We found "Berries" very comfortable with everything that we needed for our stay with the owners very helpful and friendly.. We would recommend it 100% for a relaxing and peaceful holiday
Berries was extremely comfortable, warm and very well equipped.. The owners were friendly and welcoming but not intrusive.
However, it is not as dog friendly as claimed. The position of a gate means that the dog has to be escorted into the garden and then to expect it to be on a lead while in the garden is unfair on both dog and owner. This should be made clear in the property details.
I would not hesitate to recommend Berries to non dog owners but not to anyone with a dog.
I have no problems dealing with Sykes to arrange the accomodation.. However although this property was detailed as dog friendly you are not allowed to leave the dogs unattended in the property and have to put them on the lead in the garden. There was an enclosed garden but you could not let the dogs straight out in the garden safely due to where the gate was. Dog walking from the property was not easy as there are no pavements.
We were made very welcome by Bob and Joan.. The bungalow was extremely spacious and very well equipped. Location was good, made by the shop and pub/restaurant close by.
The owners were very helpfull and in general couldn't ask for more so would definitely recommend
Had a great time during our stay at Berries.. This is an excellent holiday cottage with all facilities you could want including a handy pub in the village serving good food (The Royal George).
Really enjoyed our vist in one the most comfortable cottages we have stayed in..
We loved the area we stayed in and especially liked our accommodation.. Joan & Bob were very helpful and friendly and had thought of everything anyone could need to ensure a perfect holiday. The Berries was very well equiped with plenty of storage space, a beautiful garden and very comfy bed. We thought that as it had only one bedroom it would probably be rather small but we were wrong, the rooms were homely and very spacious. We would highly recommend it and would definitely return.
We were extremely happy staying at The Berries.. It is roomy and generously equipped. We found everything worked well. The wifi was strong and stable. It was very quiet and we felt very comfortable there. The owners were most accommodating and helpful. We enjoyed the lovely garden and appreciated being close to the pub and the shop. Strongly recommended.
Exploring Suffolk and Norfolk was made much easier knowing we had a comfy home to return to each afternoon.. this house was just perfect, lovely quiet location, lots of room, and everything we needed to relax and cook our meals, The lovely garden surrounds were an extra bonus:
The bedroom had a pretty sunny outlook on fine days, and was huge, with lots of storage and good bed. Wifi reception was fine, shop and pub really close, just as described.
We have stayed in this cottage twice now.. Both have been fantastic. We stay with our dog and all three of us were made welcome. It is a lovely place and we will be going back.

The accommodation is set within a beautiful garden and is extremely quiet and peaceful.. A shop and pub serving very good food are only a couple of minutes walk away.
Friendly owners gave warm welcome on arrival, ideal annexe cottage for two people and dogs allowed.. Very comfortable base to explore Suffolk/Norfolk from.
The cottage (Berries) was excellent, very well equipped and very clean.. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Everything was great. The only downside was the Friday to Friday booking. Everyone knows Friday traffic is awful.
A lovely house with superb owners.. All we needed was provided
We had a marvellous stay at Berries.. The place is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Full marks to our friendly hosts.
Owners could not have been more helpful, and the cottage was exceptional, equiped with everything that might be required..
Mr Corbett, March 2017
Bob & Joan are friendly and very helpful, the accommodation was excellent a real home from home..
Mr Jackson, January 2017
Bob & Joan where extremely nice.. The property was in fact a "Granny Flat" that had been provided for Bob's mum who had died very recently, so it was more of a "home" than a "holiday let". It was very quiet and restful.
Berries is comfortable and superbly appointed. The garden was beautiful. The hosts were relaxed and friendly.
