Holiday home
Beckside is a beautiful eco-friendly cottage located in the Vale of Lorton near the town of Cockermouth in the Western Lakes. This character cottage can sleep six people in three double bedrooms, with one room being zip/link (can be twin upon request). All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and one has a dressing room. The rest of the cottage is made up of an open plan living space with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. To the outside of the cottage is a patio area with furniture and private parking for one car. Located in a beautiful area with wonderful scenery, Beckside is the perfect countryside getaway!

Accomodation Details
Three bedrooms: 1 x zip link twin/double (Please advice at time of booking), 2 x double with en-suite shower room, basin, WC, dressing room. Bathroom with bathtub and separate shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. Open plan living/dining room with fireplace feature. Kitchen.

Area
Cockermouth is a small market town located in the north-western part of the Lake District. Cockermouth offers a variety pubs, shops and eateries. The main attraction in the area are the many walking opportunities available and William Wordsworth's Georgian family home. Nearby is the town of Keswick which also has loads to offer!

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

A clean and comfortable cottage set within beautiful surroundings with one of the best pet friendly environments I've seen.. The owner and staff were very friendly and approachable to advise on getting the best holiday experience in the area. A quality holiday much enjoyed!

We loved our stay! The house was really well laid out and the grounds were beautiful. Our 2 little dogs had a great time too! We have already booked to come back next year! The only thing was that it was very easy for the dogs to get into next doors garden but apart from that it was great! Thanks for a great stay and we will see you soon!

The accommodation was absolutely brilliant, with every care taken to ensure comfort and space, plus many extras which are not always included.. The organic vegetables were a superb touch, as was the plum loaf of bread! The garden, pond and swing were a real plus for the children - and dog too. The eco regard to all aspects of the cottage were excellent. A very special place!!

This complex of several rental cottages is an eco-friendly environment so you must buy into that concept to really appreciate it. Beckside is a fantastic 3BR/3BA unit that is very well-furnished, with an unbelievably well-stocked kitchen. It has a patio (for warmer weather, sadly not used during our wet stay) and a wood-burning stove that we used most nights. They provide wood and kindling and just about everything you could possibly need, including a washer and dryer on the premises. The cottage is light and airy and a joy to just hang out in. Marna, the host, is helpful but doesn't hover. The fields and area around the site are planted with native plants, grasses and fruit trees and are stunningly beautiful. We were even provided with a hamper of fresh veggies, as well as some chocolates and some local beers. The cottages are well-located for Cockermouth which is a charming village with a big supermarket and many attractive shops and galleries. I hate to write a review because I want to keep this place to myself!
