We stayed at Beacon House for a week with our two children and it was such a pleasant experience for all of us. The house is clean and tidy, and well-taken care of overall, with a neat fireplace and fast internet connection. It's perfect just to stay there and cook your own stuff in the beautiful kitchen then go for a walk in the highlands-style mountain range near by -- it takes about 40 minutes to get to the mountain top where you'll see sheep and beautiful Galloway cattle grazing gracefully. But even before you get up there, you'll find yourself walking through the village/town center with its beautiful shops and cafes. We'd love to repeat the experience just to cook breakfast, walk up to the mountains, grab lunch somewhere in town and then have a cup of tea in the evening by the fireplace as we watch the not-so-inspiring but somehow addictive debates on BBC parliament.

We were a party of 3 adults on 5 night break.. The cottage is set in a very quiet area of Malvern with a small choice of shops and pubs a short walk away in Barnards Green. If you are prepared to walk a small bit further you can venture up to the centre of Malvern for a wider choice of facilities A Kitchen facilities were excellent, living room was very comfortable with tv and Internet available if required. Bedrooms were fine.As may be expected for a small cottage headroom at the upstairs toilet and shower was a bit restricted for taller members of our group - however when put against all the positives this was a minor issue as there was a downstairs toilet which was more than adequate for our needs.

Location was very good ie.. near local shops, good bus and train links to near and far destinations. Priory and independent shops in Great Malvern were very interesting. Would recommend to both walkers and non walkers. The cottage was ideal for two to four people. It was very well appointed and comfortable.

Fabulous little property, very clean, well equipped, beautifully decorated, and well located in Malvern.. We visited the local theatre ,the Morgan factory and had snow on the tops of the Malvern Hills all adding up to a great week. The only negative points were the off road parking is more suited to a small car but road side parking outside the property was not a problem. If you are more than 5ft 8 tall then better to use the bath than the shower due to low headroom, and ladies note restricted clothes hanging space all part of the charm of this delightful cottage.

A comfortable and convenient property. We had no contact with the owners or manager even by phone and were unable to report a broken push button flush in the downstairs toilet. We were therefore amazed to be requested to pay £50 for the repair, an exorbitant amount for a small breakage of probably just wear and tear. Sykes resolved the matter we asume, but we think we were treated very badly.. I have given it 4 stars as the property deserves it, and as for recommending it to a friend that would be with reservations

As mentioned in other reviews, this is not a house for anyone on the tall side.. I am average height & struggled in the shower. Other than that, good location.

A gorgeous cottage which suited us just right for a week. It's only around 10 minutes walk from the station and around 15 mins into the main part of town, however, there are shops just two minutes away at Barnard's Green, including a super bakery and a surprisingly-well-stocked Co-Op. The cottage was lovely - comfortable, warm and quiet - it also had everything (and more) that we needed, in fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much, we didn't want to come home.

What a gorgeous place! We had a wonderful week in Beacon Cottage in Great Malvern. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and warm. It had everything we needed for the week, in fact, I wasn't expecting it to be so well stocked so we'd taken our own loo rolls, kitchen towel, washing up sponge, and we needn't have. It's very well positioned and is only around a 10-minute walk to Great Malvern station, and around 15 to 20 minutes from the main part of town. We also found the excellent bakery just two minutes down the road, which people had mentioned in the guest book at the cottage. Yes you have to watch your head upstairs if you're on the tall side, especially in the bathroom, and yes the off-road parking space could be an issue if you have a long car - but neither posed a problem for us (you just get used to ducking, and there's plenty of parking around about if your car doesn't fit on the drive). We had such a super time, we didn't want to leave! We'll definitely try to book the cottage again for future visits to Malvern.

Lovely comfortable cottage with excellent facilities, very conveniently placed for Barnards Green shopping and particulary the Court Road Bakery! Tended to be dark inside but it was a very grey week in Malvern.

Anne's and Andy's cottage in Malvern is an absolute gem.. Great and safe location with easy access to the train station and local shops. The cottage is immaculate and maintained to a very high standard, very well equipped with everything you need and provides a comfortable home away from home. Entertainment set up is a wonderful perk. Communication with both Anne and Andy is very friendly and easy. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Excellent location with views of the Malverns and a cottage presented in immaculate condition.. The Good: 1. Excellent comfortable beds 2. High quality kitchen with every amenity 3. Cosy lounge with excellent TV options (Freeview/Amazon Firestick/Apple TV) 4. Super efficient heating and hot water 5. 15 mins walk to the main shopping/restaurant area 6. Morgan pub nearby very friendly and cosy 7. Good range of local food shopping and take away foods within 500 yards 8. Ideally located to get to all walks and towns such as Worcester/Cheltenham and Hereford What you also need to know (not necessarily bad but you should be aware) 1. Its a dormer so space on one side of each of the bedrooms is compromised, position the smallest person on that side if your prone to getting up in night! 2. Shower space is very tight due to the dormer, I am 6 ft tall and my head when stood straight touched the roof when in the shower, toilet in the same bathroom you need to be aware so you don't bang your head 3. Parking is tight...You need to be good at reversing as there is pressure from the traffic that goes down the road. Take your time, if you have rear parking sensors then ideal. My car is an Audi Q3 (not a huge car) anything bigger will hang out over the path 4. The house is at the low point in terms of sea level for Great Malvern, no issue but it means that a walk up to town is all uphill and relatively steep near the top end so if you have mobility issues you should be aware.
