Great location in the heart of the village.. Close to shops, pubs and beach. Spacious accommodation with great views over the estuary and village. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. No parking close to the house so loading and unloading cars is a bit of a pain. Wheelchair access is a problem and guests with walking issues should perhaps look for something on the flat. Garden and decking area at the back is a real bonus.

Base house is in a brilliant location just behind the shops on the front.. It provides lovely views of the sea from several rooms. The house was equipped with everything you want for your holiday. It was very clean and comfortable. The beach is only a very short walk away, there are miles of golden sand. Would highly recommend this house.

Wonderful house.. Fabulous location and amazing views from every room in the house. Owner very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back. Only one snag could have done with a plug near to dressing table to dry my hair.

The house was very spacious, comfortable, cosy and welcoming.. The views of the sea from the bedrooms were great and very relaxing, also the view from the lounge over the village and beyond. All the kitchen equipment was in plentiful supply for my family including a small grandchild. We contacted the housekeeper with regard to something and found them to be very helpful. Thank you for a lovely Easter break even the weather was kind to us.

As those before us said, the location is perfect. 5 minutes to the beautiful beach with the dog. A beach big of golden sand to satisfy a walk or run for as far as you want and then some. Back in time for breakfast at one of the local cafe's. A run out to a various attractions within 30 minutes. Back for a second beach walk, before dinner at one of the local restraunts / pubs. Slow down, enjoy the company and enjoy your four legged friends. Most importantly disregard any weather forecasts, Aberdovey has its own micro-climate, with a weather window on the worst days. The accomodation was generous, spacious, with character and views, with a small garden patio perfect for a drink in the setting sun.

The Base House is really lovely.. It has wonderful views of the beach and the town, very quiet apart from the seagulls, well equipped (sharp knives!) and very homely. It was ideal for our young dog as the kitchen can be closed off so we didn't need to worry about him getting up to mischief while on his own overnight. There is a pretty enclosed garden, again, ideal for the dog. It's a 5 min walk to the car park and literally mile upon mile of sandy beach and shallow sea that dogs are allowed on (There is a dog free part as well). The owner sent us a very helpful info pack by email beforehand and Sykes gave us plenty of clear information as well. All in all I was really impressed by Sykes and the Base House.
