Just 20 minutes from Knock International Airport and 15 minutes from blue flag beaches and the Wild Atlantic Way. The National Museum of Country Life is just a short drive away. Foxford is famous for its Woollen Mills and the Visitors Centre is very popular with tourists. The town is situated on the banks of the famous river Moy, one of the most famous salmon fishing rivers in Europe and a haven for fishermen from all over the world who returned every year to fish these waters. For the walking enthusiast there are Forest walks and walking trails such as the Foxford Way which is 86 km long and is categorized as a Linear Walk, with the Ox mountains on one side and Neiphin mountains on the other. It is one of Mayo's finest walks. During the walk the walker will encounter bogs, mountain, rivers and lakes and breathtaking.
