Barn Acre Cottage is a charming semi detached cottage in the village of St Newlyn East near Newquay in Cornwall. The cottage can sleep two people in one double bedroom as well as a separate bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of an open plan living room with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. To the outside is off road parking for one car and a decked area with furniture. Set in a great place, Barn Acre Cottage can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Nestling among the open fields and winding hedgerows of north Cornwall, this tiny village offers a quiet contrast from the summer bustle of nearby Newquay. St Newlyn East boasts a well-stocked shop, pub which serves delicious home-made food, Post Office and a butcher's. A peaceful haven with a wealth of country walks, within 10 miles there are several visitor attractions including stately homes and gardens, model railways, theme parks, fishing villages and harbours and some of the UK’s best surfing beaches.

I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Barn Acre Cottage.. Really didn’t want to leave in fact!! As a solo traveller I wanted somewhere cosy and within reach of lots to do and Barn Acre was perfect!! I had such a warm welcome the owners are so helpful and friendly. The cottage is decorated beautifully with so many wonderful little touches and also had absolutely everything I needed and more!!! The location was perfect for a short drive to so many wonderful different destinations yet the cottage itself is just such a peaceful and quiet place to be at the end of the day! The outside decking area was the perfect little sun trap for those days the weather was better too! I honestly booked this break on a whim not having know the area and I really lucked out with the cottage. I would absolutely recommend it for couples or solo travellers and would really genuinely love to return in the future :-)

This is a lovely cottage in a superb location, very tastefully decorated with everything you need.. The host were superb and nothing was to much trouble. A fantastic find and we will definitely be back again.

The cottage was beautiful , very clean and in a wonderful setting.. The owners were super and provided us with milk ,apple juice and chutney which was a very nice gesture,I would definitely go back ....SUPER x

Barn Acer Cottage was beautiful relaxing Toni Wendy Clare Own it they are the most lovely.. People we have come across moved to cornwall 2years ago and set up the Cottage for holiday renting it is on the edge off a village their is a pub were you can get food but also in easy reach of all the beaches and beautiful harbours and world heritage sites all with in 1 hrs drive from Cottage when we stayed there we heard the owls most nights you get a very warm welcome and say we will return thank you once again Toni Wendy Clare hope you get loads of bookings from sue John

The cottage is very comfortable and has lots of touches that make it feel like home.. The couple, Wendy and Tony were very friendly and on hand at the start and we were really taken by the care and consideration they showed us. In the cottage they had also left milk in the fridge and there was a basket with tea,coffee biscuits and suger sachets. They also provided a lovely bottle of pressed Cornish apple juice. They also left us some eggs laid by their own chickens. It was these touches that made us realise that the cottage owners really cared and it got our holiday off to a great start, so a big thank you to them. We would definitely recommend this cottage, everything worked really well and it was a delight to stay there. It is a very peaceful and beautiful part of Cornwall and we found it very handy to get to all the lovely places like St Ives, Porthleven, Padgate, Fowey etc as well as the great local places. We would like to pass on our thanks to Tony and Wendy and would whole heartedly recommend a stay at Barn Acre Cottage.

An absolutely beautiful cottage, idyllic surroundings and welcoming hosts! A special mention to the hosts who made the additional effort to welcome us - even gave us fresh eggs! Would strongly recommend for its a lovely cottage and ideal location. Central to many locations and easy to get to places such as Newquay.
