The cottage felt particularly safe and comfortable. The neighbours and owners were extremely helpful. The proximity to Alton Towers was fantastic and such an easy journey, yet felt like we were still having our countryside holiday. The woodland walks were fantastic and to do them from the door was amazing.

We especially loved the coal fire. The accommodation was of a high standard and was warm cosy. The kitchen was very well kitted out a lot of the things were in there; cleaning products, foil etc. We will go back as it's close to relatives has a great setting, down a track off a quiet single track road. The view is amazing too.

This is a MUST stay at property superb in every way. If anyone is thinking of a family holiday or just a short break away this accommodation offers everything you could wish for. Short commute to Alton Towers for families, superb walks for ramblers or guests with pets, fabulous local country pubs, supermarkets near by. One of the best family holidays I have ever had.We would certainly visit again, we would give it 5*.

The location of the cottage and the immediate environment for peace and quiet. It was very comfortable and cosy. There were lots of areas for long or short safe woodland and hillside/valley walks. Very beautiful 'old' English countryside. Very friendly and approachable owners nearby who helped us plan our walks and pointed out places of interest with great knowledge of their locality. A very nice outside area to sit out on the sunnier mornings and evenings.

We liked it because it catered for all the elements of a holiday that we were in search of eg close to Alton Towers, good walking, local villages/pubs and shops. The accommodation suited us for what we wanted on this type of break.
