Holiday home
Balloo forms part of a coach house conversion just outside of Lancaster. It comes with three double bedrooms, a family bathroom and a cloakroom and can sleep six people. Inside, it also includes an open-plan living area comprising of a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. To the outside there is plenty of off road parking, a patio with furniture and 200 acres of grounds with ponds and a river. Balloo is a well-presented property which is ideal for touring the area with the city of Lancaster, Forest of Bowland and Morecambe Bay all easily accessible. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

Three bedrooms: 1 x ground floor double, 2 x double. Bathroom with a freestanding bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Ground floor cloakroom with basin and WC. Open-plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

Area
The city of Lancaster is in northwest England and offers a vast array of architecture, shops, bars and restaurants of the highest quality. Visitors of every taste are well catered for here as the Forest of Bowland AONB sits close by. A day by the sea can also be enjoyed nearby, with Morecambe by within easy access.

Region
The North West of England has something for every discerning traveller. Whether it is the fabulous sandy beaches of its famous seaside resorts or the historic backdrop of some of the country's oldest cities, it has something for everyone.

This was a return visit to a cottage in a lovely rural location at a reasonable price.. The dog loved the great outdoor space and we enjoyed all the wonderful local walks. The cottage is renovated to a high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are very likely to return again in the future

Beautifully restored property on this large country estate.. On arrival the house was spotlessly clean and warm. Tea, coffe, milk and biscuits were left in the kitchen too to welcome us. The kitchen and bathrooms are luxuriously high spec and the rooms are large, particularly the kitchen space, with beautiful wooden floors and underfloor heated tiles. However the lounge area is tiny and the uncomfortable sofa would not seat 6 people, despite the property sleeping 6. Sadly the cutlery, crockery and bedding is all very cheap too, diminishing the luxurious feel of the property. Baloo is part of the original stable block adjacent to the large house which is being restored and transformed into a luxury hotel. Of course this means that there is work going on and some areas are effectively a building site, which may be off putting to some. However, noise is kept to a minimum and the friendly, helpful staff leave you alone to enjoy your stay. Overall, a lovely property which could, with some slight tweaking be an outstanding holiday property.

Newly refurbished and high quality accommodation.. Could do with a bit more equipment (e.g. cutlery and mugs) though overall a very enjoyable stay and would be happy to return in future.

Had a fabulous break at new year.. The cottage was outstanding and would defo recommend. Gifts left on the doorstep before new years eve were a lovely surprise. The owners were very accomodating. Would love to return soon.

You did not inform the owner of my arrival.. So when I telephoned to say I was on my way. The owner had been told I was not booking so was unitially thrown off guard when I said I was about 45 minutes away. That was an arrival around 6pm. The property is available from 3pm. This is Skyes fault not ofcourse the Owners of Balloo. However the property was made ready but I imagine they had a rush due to being incorrectly informed by yourselves. Out of 3 staff at Skyes two where very helpful but a third member of staff repeatidly telephoned myself after an initial enquiry and was quite pushy which almost caused myself to not book. I however wished to stay at Balloo so did book. But with a different member of staff who was helpful friendly and not pushy! It makes a big difference.. Sincerely Jane Deborah Burke.

Cottage was a new listing but was immaculate.. The grounds were very picturesque and a great setting. Still a bit of work going on at the main hall / house and some of the ground but would definitely book again to go there if we go back to that area.

This is a lovely cottage.. It could benefit from some personal touches (pictures on the walls and bedside tables) but otherwise we really enjoyed our five day break. We will be back..definitely. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay including posting items we left in the cottage.

It was a little hard to make our way around on foot but the grounds and whole cottage were both lovely, tidy, well kept and pleasant to stay in..

The accommodation is so high spec definitely 5 stars.. It was luxurious. Owners incredibly helpful . Stunning grounds surrounded by great walks.. we will definitely be going back soon
