Lovely, spacious house, very comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and the views are breath taking. Ella, the house owner was fantastic, really helpful. Ringmore is a very pretty hamlet with a great pub - Journey's End. Several short walks take you to beautiful Ayrmer Cove. Other nice beaches are nearby and there are lots of places to visit ie Totnes, Dartmouth. We would love to return

The house is situated in the most fantastic setting: surrounded by rolling countryside flowing down to beautiful Ayrmer Cove.. There are National Trust walks all around which include paths to the cove/beach, and onto the S.W. coastal path. The house has these stupendous views from EVERY room and has a massive balcony accessed by all 3 bedrooms, and there is also a private ground floor terrace to drink in more of the views, and sometimes to even hear the waves. The house is stylishly laid out- the owner has thought of everything, and whilst she lives in the adjoining annexe, the feeling of being in the house is one of total privacy. The welcoming owner is on hand if needed. The level of cleanliness throughout the spacious house is very high. We would love to stay at Ayrmer House again in the future. I would describe staying at Ayrmer House, where it is situated in the beautiful Devon countryside, and so close to the sea as a real health tonic, and the ultimate wind-down holiday place to be!

Ayrmer House has wonderful facilities and a stunning view to match, looking down to Ayrmer Cove. Upstairs three double/twin bedrooms, one en-suite, and downstairs a large lounge, dining room, kitchen area. A downstairs utility room, one downstairs loo, with another and a separate bathroom upstairs. A terrace making the most of the views. The owner's property is part of the same building. Wildlife around included a pair of buzzards and a kestrel which could be watched from the house. Wifi is best in the lounge. No mobile signal, but a landline phone operated on an honesty basis. Freesat TV. Excellent pub (The Journeys End) within staggering distance. No shop in the village, but one not far in St Ann's Chapel, along with another pub (Pickwick Inn) which specialises in Italian food as well as doing an excellent Sunday roast. We would definitely go back.

Some of the beds could be a little more comfortable, but this didn’t spoil our enjoyment of Ayrmer House.. It’s a beautiful house with a stunning view and everything you could possibly need provided plus some homemade flapjack to greet us. Ella was really friendly and made us feel so welcome. We would definitely go back there for another relaxing holiday.

There are not many places that have a stunning uninterrupted view of the sea from EVERY bedroom...AND the living room....AND the kitchen! It's a delightful walk to Ayrmer Cove, with Burgh Island in one direction along the coastal path, and Wonwell Beach and Kingston Village in the other direction. The house is light, nicely furnished and well equipped. The beds and bed linen (clean and crisply ironed) are very comfortable with fluffy towels. Each bedroom has a door out on to the balcony and views down the valley. The largest room is en suite. The living space is open plan, lovely wood burner, relaxing space by the long windows to gaze at the view or night skies , and connects through to dining and kitchen areas, with a proper pantry. We arrived to home baked lemon drizzle cake, a supply of tea and coffee, milk in the fridge, and a bottle of wine! It's remote, but so peaceful. We found the local store (about one mile away) very well stocked, and tempting with local Devon produce. Salcombe is worth a visit, and the Oyster Shack is only a very short drive away. The Journey's End, local pub in Ringmore is great for Sunday lunch.

An out of the way three bedroomed house, in the tiny village of Ringmore, is ideally placed for an exploration of the south coast of Devon. The house has a spectacular view of the sea through a pair of rolling hills leading down to the secluded Ayrmer cove beach. If Art Deco oppulance is more your style a short drive leads to Burgh Island and it’s 1920s styled hotel. The island is accessed at low tide by a sandy causeway or at high tide by a novel sea tractor. Use the house for a base if exploring historic Plymouth which is a short drive away also. Don’t miss the quaint seaside town of Salcombe with boats and boutiques aplenty.
