Sharon and David were very nice and looked after us really well.. The cottage was lovely and cosy and we really enjoyed our stay there. There were card games, board games; even a pair of binoculars with a diary to note down the local wildlife that we spotted. They also provided a very unexpected welcome hamper. Overall a very well equipped cottage and the best holiday we've had with Sykes Cottages! (so far) Although it snowed quite a lot (it was January so bad weather was inevitable), there were lots of local walks; Exeter was only up the road and Dartmoor was just a short drive away. If you're into geology then Dawlish and the coastiline is definitely worth a visit and is also only a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have recommended the cottage to our friends and family.

It took absolutely ages to make the booking.. We had a provisional booking for many months and when you did get around to asking us to confirm that provisional booking, you allowed us only 24 hours to complete. You where not prepared to take an 8-day booking, demanding 7 or 14 days, even though the owners are perfectly happy to take bookings of more than 7 days. Finally, you have bombarded us with marketing emails, sometimes more than twice in a day.
