If you want to stay in a charming part of Berlin, Art Farben has you covered. Close to the likes of Brunnenstraße and Bernauer Straße, the immediate area is lined with artisan coffee shops, independent art galleries, and restaurants loved by locals, effectively capturing Berlin’s famous kiez atmosphere. It isn’t the most characterful home, but you’ll be happy to find everything you need for a stay in the German capital – including a small balcony with the loveliest green views during the warmer months.

*Be prepared for some up and down – it’s on the second floor with fifty-one steps to climb
*We couldn’t find a home manual when we visited
