Second stay here so it must be great as I don't go on holiday to the same place twice! Same as last year, fab views, fab place. Will return again!

Their isn't enough superlatives to describe the views and location.. 5 minute walk to a small supermarket or 3 minute drive to a large one. We got engaged on the veranda so we will always have fond memories of this place. On the whole I found the flat adequate for us, being the beginning of April it's a quarter of the price of August. If I had to be picky, there isn't enough pantry space for food that doesn't require refrigerating, under the TV is dusty and yes there's still mold (guests should keep extractor fans on for longer) in the bathrooms. One other daunting experience is walking to the front door, there isn't a railing and it's a drop into the bay. We didn't mind this, for it added to the appeal of the holiday and character of the building The flat is comfortable and warm, plus waking up and walking to the living room and seeing the sun shine through the veranda double doors is breath taking. Would I use this place again? YES,

We couldn't fault the view and setting, however the flat was not as clean when we arrived as we would have expected.. It was a disappointment to have to hoover and dust the flat after travelling for almost 8 hours and 400 miles. Also some of the utensils and crockery were very dirty and had food stains and rust on them! We had to clean everything that we needed before we used them, which one should not have to do after spending over £700 for a weeks stay. Some of the utensils were useless; the knives were so blunt they were redundant (we had to purchase are own), the wooden chopping board was broken and had a big split in it, and the weighing scales didn't have a battery so we couldn't use it. The silicone around the bath and shower had black mould starting to grow. Generally speaking, the apartment seemed a bit tired and would benefit from being redecorated throughout. Good location but seriously lacking in attention to detail. Definitely will not be staying in Toby's Quay's again and unfortunately would not recommend it!

The accommodation was of a high standard BUT I had difficulty both opening and closing the door at the back and the front of the property.. I was not told of the unusual locking mechanism before arriving and although Kristie? helped me solve the problem on arrival it was an issue throughout the stay. The landlord and a neighbour were extremely helpful and did everything they could to sort out a plumbing issue and an electrical problem but Sykes seemed to abandon me and never once checked back during the 2 weeks to make sure that problems were being resolved.

Arriving in the dark was not helpful In winter bookings the time could be altered to suit tired travellers who had never been before and were trying hard to unpack, wheel suitcases, cross cobbles with sea pounding and rain drenched pathways, all in the 'given' time'.. Once in, I looked for help in the way of car parking info. I appreciate that 'perching at the counter' is for the young and we who are older focus round a table with lower chairs in our own lifestyle but tried hard not to mind. It would have been so nice to speak to someone so I could have asked about mix-up over our bathroom heating, I emailed and phoned but it was not till the end of the week that it got sorted. A welcome pack which I believe had been a nice idea in the past in this property-read the visitors book- was not welcoming us so guess it was a missed trick. We had been travailing for a month and staying ant many different places since leaving France and luckily had some extra bedding to add to main bedroom. I brought in my husbands wheelchair so he had a higher chair to sit in, and get out of, apart from these 'bits' I guess I should have asked...but who? We did love the place and the one man who spurred me on to 'hurry-up' when loading my husband into the car (under 5 minutes) and collect my brother -also a bit slow- was easily dealt with by my pointing out we did in-fact have a little time left on time- card. I loved the place but was a bit stressed out by not being able to talk to Sykes.
