The best part of this home is its stunning private woodland area, complete with an enclosed cabin that redefines cosy. With a wood burner, bar area and sofa we could spend hours of the afternoon out here – add in the pizza oven and barbecue and you have evening plans as well. Inside the apartment proper, you’ll find a light-filled open concept living area with a large welcoming grey sofa. There’s a fun bar area for two with luxe emerald high chairs, and the kitchen is sleek and modern. The master bedroom has lovely green floral wallpaper that matches the surrounding greenery peeking through every window, and we love the large all-marble en-suite. You’ll be staying near the hamlet of Morpeth, just a nine-minute drive from its cobbled streets full of independent shops, cosy pubs and a charming High Street. On the first Saturday of the month, you can stock up on produce from the popular Farmers Market. Otherwise, spend a few hours in the colourful Carlisle Park, with tennis courts and riverboats – there’s plenty of options for activity and it’s just a seven-minute drive away from home. Plus, art appreciators can visit Turner Garden, which celebrates the life of the talented painter William Turner who was born in Morpeth.
