This flat was a throwback from the 70s.. Woodchip on the walls. Basically a mattress on the floor in the corner of the room extremely uncomfortable. Noisy neighbours who kept us awake for 2 of the 3 nights. Very disappointing

The positive things were it was right in the centre of York, and near to supermarket, in fact that is the view from the window, It was fully equipped but unfortunately the standard of cleaning was not was I was expecting especially in today’s COVID-19 situation.. It looked vacuumed, and there were clean sheets and towels, but on entering the kitchen I found crumbs and dust at the side of the microwave and in the handle ridge on the fridge. The freezer box in the fridge had not been defrosted and that was not clean. In fact I spent a while cleaning surfaces and finger marks, I was pleased I had taken some cleaning products, I wanted to use the oven but when I saw the dust and crumbs in the door I decided not to. The whole place needs a thorough deep clean to get rid of the grease on the unit doors and everything else. I noted from another report last year the socket behind the microwave was loose, it still is! The toilet is brown, I couldn’t get that clean but I made an improvement! The list goes on! There are lots of feather scatter cushions and last year’s pamphlets in a folder which should be removed. The place is ideal for York it just needs a team of cleaners now and a thorough clean every Friday. I have taken photos if anyone wants to see them.

A lovely little cosy place with everything you could need, in a brilliant location.. It was great value, and I was glad that heating was included (not always the case for self catering properties!) as it was certainly required. The free parking space was a bonus, as parking in York is not cheap and a car really isn't needed once you are there. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely little bolt-hole within a stone's throw of the entrance to the city.. Comfy, cozy and well situated with off road parking and a supermarket a 2 minute walk away - we were very happy with the property. The owner had left us a bottle of prosecco and some Lindor chocolates which was a nice touch. The only downside was the shower... the thermometer in the shower unit has gone and so you have the choice of scalding your skin off or freezing - there is no in between. If the shower unit could be replaced, we would happily book again for next year.

We loved staying here.. It was perfect for us. We loved the decor and the style of the place and were impressed with the space, being bigger than we had feared. The location was perfect and we parked the car in our allotted space and left it there for the week, just walking into York and exploring. The only downsides were a) the bike storage was outside, but the owner told us that so we could bring a bike cover, 2) the view of the house above, and the view of the Minster is actually from the back garden. The flat is on the other side of the house and has a fine view of Sainsbury's car park! Although that was very handy for provisions. A very happy stay. We would happily go back.

The socket behind the microwave was off the wall and showing wires and I personally spent 2hrs on my birthday having to clean the washing machine, it was very stale, had mass build up in the detergent drawer and thick mold round the rubber door seal.. We only took a small amount of clothing with us because of the accessibility of a washing machine but we could not use it till it was fit for purpose and had to buy clothing to see us through.

Even though I booked at short notice, the owner got in touch very quickly and was very helpful.. It's a nice little flat in a good location, perfect for a long weekend or a week.

Was not what I expected from photos, thought it was individual cottages not units.. Also shower stopped working and our email was not replied to, not enough hot water for a bath.

Lovely little studio, clean with everything we needed and very central.. Not being able to get a hold of the owner to find out how to collect keys was an unnesseary stress and was not given the code to the garden which was the whole point we booked there!

We were slightly disappointed that the photos didn't truely reflect the condition of the property including its outside appearance.. The decoration was worn. The grouting in the bathroom was stained as was the bowl of the toilet. The curtains in the living room had mould spots on the back of them and they were so thin that we were woken at 5.30am each morning with the room being filled with sunlight. Boiling water from the kettle was full of grey flecks so we couldn't make hot drinks during the weekend. The owner was friendly on the phone when arranging key collection and we were able to check in early. The greatest benefit was being so close to city centre and having a parking space. We have our summer holiday cottage in Angelsey booked with Sykes so I'm hoping this is a one off.

It is the third time we have stayed in this property and will do so again if it is available when we next plan our regular visit to York.. The only reason I have not given top marks for comfort is that the settee is basic and is by a very draughty window, that being said, the flat had ample heaters. Regarding facilities, whilst the property has a bath, the hot water tank is way way too small to provide enough hot water for a bath. It is therefore impossible to have a hot bath. These are minor things and I offer this feedback simply to indicate why I did not give full marks on comfort and facilities. Incidentally, the flat is wonderfully quiet which is a big bonus!

Our stay Feversham house was great.. The location is perfect for exploring the city of York - Everything is within walking distance. The flat was clean and tidy and the owners had made sure that everything was provided to make our stay comfortable. I would not hesitate to book the flat again and would recommend it for a couple who are looking for an affordable mini break in York.

The Feversham apartment was very cosy and well-equipped, and the building itself was quiet and well-maintained.. The allocated parking space was a huge bonus as well, especially in a city where parking is at a premium. However, by far the best thing about The Feversham is the location - only yards from the city walls and the main centre of medieval York. For a city break this was perfect as everywhere was within easy walking distance of the apartment and we didn't need to use the car once!

A great place to stay close to all that York has to offer.. Small but has everything you need and having Sainsbury’s so close was a bonus. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a place to stay in York.

Ideal accommodation for two people.. Although the apartment is small the space was used well and to full advantage. It was very close to the centre of town but in a peaceful neighbourhood. The cooking facilities were excellent and comprehensive. The owner was very welcoming and the welcome pack much appreciated.

We visit York a couple of times a year to see family and usually stay in a very good B&B we know.. However as our stay was longer than usual we investigated having our 'own place' and found this perfect in terms of location, price and not least accessibility to a supermarket. There was also a welcome 'bottle' which was a really nice gesture. York is a fantastic city and we would highly recommend this accommodation. One very minor comment is that there were cobwebs in the kitchen above the shelf by the sink. This is not a complaint as these had obviously been overlooked, the place was otherwise spotlessly clean. We will certainly check availability of this flat next time we come to York Thanks for a good stay Robert & Ian Brighton

Great location ,easy to walk to York Minster takes only a few minutes.. Flat has well equipped Kitchen, with Sainsbury's being so near easy to buy food and drink. Having secure parking for our car was good, we caught the local bus to visit a National Trust Property , so much to see and do within walking distance of the flat. Quiet area so slept well, flat had all we needed for our stay, plus the directions to find it were excellent .

The best part about the Feversham is the location, in just a few minutes walking you are in the centre of York.. The apartment has everything you need. There is an allocated car parking space, so convenient. Sainsbury's is 2 minutes away. If you want to see York properly, and try the pubs etc., and then a short walk back home, you will love it, we did.
