This charming two-storey apartment makes the most of its seaside spot with an upside-down layout – bedrooms on the entrance level, and an open kitchen and living area on the first floor, leading out onto that show-stealing terrace. Floor-to-ceiling doors fold back to allow easy access to the outdoors, where you can soak up the sun on the rattan-style seating, pop the umbrella up for some respite from the midday sun, or barbecue a banquet for the whole party on the grill.

White and blue dominate the decor throughout, reflecting the azure hues of the sea and sky, plus the occasional passing cloud. The main bedroom also boasts its own private balcony that opens out onto fragrant lemon and olive trees that are used to create all manner of sumptuous local products.

During the summer months, boat trips depart from the marina to explore the breathtaking natural and manmade beauty of the Lubrense coast, the enticing island of Capri and the sheer cliffs of Amalfi. While there might not be a beach to speak of, the rocky shore makes for a great base for cooling swims in these protected waters. Alternatively, hop in the car for a short drive to any one of several sun-lounger-lined beaches nearby, or continue along winding coastal roads to the breathtaking towns of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello.
