Holiday home
Southview is a comfortable apartment set one mile from the village of Clee Hill, near to the town of Ludlow and benefits from open plan living accommodation. The cottage has one double bedroom, and a shower room and can sleep two people. The cottage also has an open plan living area with a kitchen with breakfast bar, and sitting area. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for two cars, there is also lockable bike storage and a patio with furniture and barbecue. Set in beautiful countryside, Southview is a lovely base for any couple in need of a rural retreat.

All first floor. One king-size bedroom (zip/link, can be twin on request). Shower room with shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, breakfast bar and sitting area. Ground floor entrance hall.

Area
Clee Hill is situated just 7 miles from Ludlow in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the village offering a shop and pub.

Region
A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Our third time here.. This is the perfect place to stay. The views are fantastic. The apartment is so well thought out, and spotlessly clean. The owners sue and dave are so kind and thoughtful, make you feel so welcome. So peaceful, and great walking, and plenty of lovely places to visit. Our little dog loves it there, can't wait to go back.

Brilliant welcome pack, home made cakes, wine, fresh orange, milk and even treats for the dog.. The best equipped kitchen with all required utensils.Excellent number of electrical sockets, even with usb sockets in the living room. The views and space in the garden are stunning, with walks straight out the side gate onto the hills, with plenty friendly sheep. Amazing friendly hosts , and dog Roxie. Loads of interesting places locally and even a super cheap hi tech garage just down the road, cheaper than even Asda prices.

David and Sue were most welcoming on our arrival and the whole time during our stay.. Despite them both having bad colds they were most helpful and informative. The place was spotless and everything exceeded our expectations. Definitely the best self catering holiday property we have ever stayed in and there have been many over the years.

Although the property is situated in a beautiful area with amazing views, it was not made clear that there were very few amenities within comfortable walking distance, such as places to eat.. Easy to book and really pleasant and helpful adviser. Too many ads appearing on social media following booking.

The accommodation was exactly as the photos led to believe (although the table was in the downstairs part of the flat and not upstairs).. The property was spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. I would have liked a table upstairs (I took my laptop to get some work done) and more kitchen storage but these were minor inconveniences that didn't affect our enjoyment (as was the lack of wifi which doesn't reach from next door into the property - but I had plenty of mobile data to work with) The owners (and their dog) were very friendly and we bumped into them several times - and they had left several welcoming gifts (wine, cake, milk/tea/juice) which were gratefully received. There was adequate parking/turning space in front of the property and plenty of room to walk on the 'common' around the property. We used the property as a base to explore (with our dog) the Carding Mill and the Long Mynd, Ludlow and were rewarded with some fantastic views. We can also recommend Ludlow farm shop on the outskirts of Ludlow (although I'm not sure my waistline would agree))

Southview made an excellant base to explore the Welsh Marches.. Shrewsbury and Hereford are just a short drive away and it is an ideal location for those wanting a base to walk the local hills. The apartment itself was spotless and the hosts made us welcome with wine and homemade cakes, and made sure that there was plenty of local knowledge by way of maps and guide books. The views from the windows were stunning. All in all a good location and certainly value for money.

The place was very clean.. The owners don’t bother you, the lady owner made a nice cake for us on arrival with bottle of wine and a homemade jam, it’s second time we’ve been there and if you enjoy a nice quiet place and plenty of fresh air and walking it’s the place to be 10 out of 10 for us

The cottage is outstanding, this cosy flat has everything you need for a lovely holiday with lots of extra little touches, everything has been well thought out, the views are beautiful, they changed daily and the sheep are very entertaining, the Owners went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely time (even the neighbours are happy to chat and provide local information), cannot wait to come back..

In 8 years with sykes, this was the best one.. Beautiful place, spotlessly clean. Location perfect. Dave and sue best hosts ever. Bottle on wine waiting for us, and home made cake. The apartment was so thoughtfuly done, views to die for. So good with are dog too. We didnt want to leave. Will definately go back. So welcoming.

This is a cosy little snug with a really good view over a valley.. Although the weather was very variable there were enough things to do and see in the area to make it an interesting holiday. When the weather is fine there are some great places to walk like The Long Mynd.

Had a wonderful week here (16-23/01/18) The photo's do not do the let justice, its in a beautiful area with fantastic views.. Dave & Sue are lovely hosts who even offered to get me some shopping when they were going to Ludlow after having a couple of days of snowfall. When my dog had an impromptu tour of their house they didn't mind even though I have 62kg Newfoundland, only commenting how well behaved she was as she didn't steal any food off the table. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect location, ideal for small dog owners.. The walk out straight onto the hill perfect. The owners very friendly and not intrusive. Facilities of the property excellent. Would definitely recommend this property and area for people who like walking and history!

This is an excellent place to stay. Very clean, every home comfort and fantastic views. An extensive we!come tray consisting of a complete cream tea. There was fruit juice, wine, bottled water milk,tea, coffee, bread and homemade marmalade. Everything was perfect!

We loved our stay and we were made to feel very welcome. We loved the peacefulness and it was a welcome break. We didn't realise we were amongst the sheep and really private which I loved, our dog loved it and it was her first holiday which was great as she was able to explore and like us was very content. The views from the property were outstanding and the local area was great to explore. The owners were very helpful hospitable. The apartment was great; really peaceful and as a woman travelling alone it was good to know the owners were just next door. The owners left welcome gifts and also have lots of little extras, for example; CDs, DVDs, maps, tourist info and books for your use. Overall it was a really great experience.

Great accommodation, with welcoming, helpful and unobtrusive owners. Perfectly situated as a base to explore from, or as somewhere to escape to. Spectacular views, good walking, and amenities a short drive away. A wonderfully cosy little bolt-hole away from it all. Stunning sunrises over the grand vista below; few properties could match the view from this one. Hill walking direct from the front door, very friendly and helpful owners and on site to boot. Clee Hill village an easy walk of less than a mile away for those inclined to give their wheels a break.
