Offering the best of both worlds, the apartment feels quiet and tranquil but is still close enough to all the amenities, attractions, and necessities that you would expect. In fact, it is located right next to the communal pool – so you won't have far to go when you fancy a dip!

After a light breakfast prepared in the understated white kitchen and eaten out on the balcony whilst planning the day ahead, why not head down to that inviting communal pool? Take the time to socialise, or simply indulge in a little me time. The resort's buzzing clubhouse is also just around the corner, where you can linger over lunch on the terrace and take in the view of the bay of Lagos and the majestic Monchique hills.

Alternatively, why not head to the glorious sand beaches at Lagos or Praia da Luz (literally 'beach of light') before stopping at one of the numerous local restaurants for a sampling of grilled sardines and lemon?

As evening rolls around, after washing the salt from your skin, it's onto the balcony for a sundowner as the sky burns a spectacularly vivid orange. Saúdinha!
