With a variety of shops and restaurants catering to all tastes, as well as attractions like The Theatre on the Lake, a charming movie theatre and museum, and even an indoor climbing wall and miniature golf, nearby Keswick is a popular tourist destination in the northern part of the Lake District. There is also a beautiful castle in Penrith and the impressive ruins of Lowther Castle, all dating back to the tenth century. Greystoke is a great location to explore the spectacular Cumbrian countryside by car or foot, with the southern Lakes, Eden Valley, Pennines Solway Coast, and Hadrian's Wall all within a short distance.
