Thank you to Daniel and Tim for their warm welcome and for sharing their beautiful house and gardens with us.. The holiday apartment is up stairs on the top floor with a separate entrance and with lovely decor and amazing views from every room. Well placed on the Malvern Hills with a walk to the top from the garden to spectacular panoramic views. We had everything we needed and throughly enjoyed our stay.

Haslington Hall is a great place.. It’s steeped in history. The Kitchen is well supplied And was a nice space to eat in. The bed was comfy and bedroom huge. The whole apartment has fantastic views. The bathroom is nice. The whole place has a relaxed atmosphere. The outside space with chairs and table are nice but down quite a lot of steps from the apartment. It wasn’t a space you could just pop out and use easily say for eating. You can however use the owners garden to walk about or put chairs in if you want. Although The garden was in need of seasonal attention, it’s lovely and very big, well established with a great array of plants you can lose yourself in. There is a path from the garden up into the woods which lead directly up onto the Malvern Hills. This was just fantastic. I would just trim back the plants and clear the steps a bit In the garden just to make it a little easier. (Part of its rambling charm) Although the house is a couple of miles outside Malvern town it’s so easy to get too. There is a well stocked convenience store a few minutes walk away. Overall a great place to stay.

The apartment at Haslington House is the most excellent accommodation we have ever enjoyed.. It's a climb to access it, but the views over the Severn Plain are incomparable. The little welcoming touches such as the flowers, milk and delicious pastries set the tone.

Nice, roomy, comfortable accommodation with wonderful views across the Three Counties Showground and Malvern Hills.. The `price' of the view, of course, is that you are up high, so be prepared to negotiate a steep, sharp-bended and bumpy drive before climbing 47 steps up to the property. We adapted quickly and were soon clambering up and down like mountain goats, but this is really not a property for people with mobility or respiratory problems (or - with a very steep, hairpin bend to negotiate - for nervous drivers!) The owners live on-site and provided basics like milk, tea and coffee, as well as a couple of cupcakes and a lovely bowl of freshly cut hydrangea flowers, which was a nice touch. Other than that, they are `hands-off' and seemed reluctant to provide more than basic information in a `file', so don't expect much in the way of a `meet and greet' or any recommendations for dinner on the first night. There is a very effective, fast-heating oven and a good quality washer/dryer which did (eventually) get the towels bone dry, but this was quite complex to operate, so be prepared to spend a fair bit of time combing through the manufacturer's instructions. A simple steer from the owners on the best wash / dry cycle to select would have been a great help. Overall, though, we very much enjoyed our stay in Malvern, which is a beautiful part of the country with some lovely places - like Hereford and Tewkesbury - within easy driving distance. If you're seeking a spacious property with a pretty, tiered garden and magnificent views, Haslington House fits the bill. (And, if you DO like to book ahead for dinner on your first night, we'd recommend The Nag's Head, an excellent gastro-pub in Great Malvern).

Firstly if you have difficulty with stairs or mobility then this is not the apartment for you, but, other than that it cannot be faulted. Set up in the Malvern Hills it has commanding views over the showground and beyond and is a beautiful setting. Closer is the owners beautiful garden which they are happy for you to take a walk around and I would advise everyone to do this. The apartment sleeps four easily and has large bedrooms and bathroom an ample kitchen and a living room with views to die for. All the furniture is comfortable and the apartment is very tastefully decorated. The owners left some flowers from their garden and some cupcakes for us and some provisions for our first night. You can walk straight from the apartment up into the Malvern hills and Malvern itself is a short 5 minute drive away. Perfect place to stay to tour Worcester and Herefordshire.

The apartment was very comfortable, spacious and commanded magnificent views eastward over the surrounding area from the slope of the hills at Malvern Wells.. There were also nice touches like the welcoming cupcakes, the pint of milk in the fridge and the choc-ices in the freezer compartment. Can't fault but only praise!

Beautiful apartment situated in a gorgeous home in Malvern Hills.. Only 2 miles from Malvern town with numerous walks with stunning views on our doorstep. Fabulous well equipped apartment, lovely touches with fresh flowers from the beautiful garden and cupcakes to welcome us, tea, coffee & milk was available for a well deserved cuppa when we arrived. The hosts were charming and very accommodating. Lots of information about local walks, restaurants, taxis etc. We adored the apartment, it was absolutely perfect for our needs. We would highly recommend a visit. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Haslington House was absolutely fantastic.. Myself and a 3 friends went to enjoy the walking of the Malvern hills, the people who we dealt with were very friendly and helpful in checking that we were okay, even leaving out cupcakes for our stay which was a nice touch. We had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend in comfort for an affordable price.

April 2019
One of the best self catering accommodations we have stayed at.. The views were particularly wonderful and the access to the Malvern walks through the back garden and woods was a joy. The owners were welcoming and private so we were left to ourselves which was perfect. I so wanted to clean the windows but they were too high! Would highly recommend.
Mrs Nicholas, April 2019
April 2019
The apartment was well appointed and extremely spacious.. The panoramic views across the countryside were superb. Access to countryside and proximity to Great Malvern, an attractive town with lots of facilities including an excellent theatre complex was a bonus. We enjoyed two matinee performances during our stay. Great Malvern station provides a good link and we travelled to Worcester, Hereford and Birmingham on day trips. There is a pretty Victorian tearoom on Platform 1. Free parking in the street helps.

The location of the flat is perfect for walking the Malvern Hills.. We could head straight through the garden onto the path to Perseverence Hill. The flat was very comfortable, clean and cosy and had everything we could possibly need. The flowers from the garden and welcome cake were lovely.

A brilliant place to see in the new year.. There was fizz and mince pies on arrival and it was still decorated for Christmas which was lovely. Amazing views from the windows and being able to get up onto the hills through the garden was great.

December 2018
We were welcomed in person to an apartment all decorated for Christmas, right down to the wreath on the door and the Christmas tree - we were so wowed.. There was a bottle of fizzy plus water and milk in the fridge and the flat was impeccably clean and cosy. The views were amazing and the access straight onto the hill magical. It was a very comfortable stay. We stayed with our two teenage sons and it was a great apartment because it was big enough and the layout segmented enough for us to all have our own privacy and not get in each others way. The washer/dryer was a welcome bonus too.
Mrs Compston
November 2018
A warm feeling when we arrived.. Beds and living room were most comfortable. I would have preferred a walk in shower as climbing in and out of the bath at the age of 82 was an effort, But that is just my opinion. Thank you for a lovely stay in your fabulous apartment.

September 2018

Love Hasslington House.. After a long weekend at Easter we couldn't wait to book a week in August. Great house and location.

July 2018
Haslington House exceeded my expectations and I would heartily recommend it.. It has great facilities including a washing machine / dryer with clothes horse and plenty of pegs, washing up liquid and soap, even a pint of milk and cakes awaited us - as well as a few store cupboard items in both kitchen and bathroom. It also had a great shower with no shortage of hot water to go round from the combi boiler and lovely, comfortable beds. We settled in straight away and felt right at home. The house is stylishly presented, including lovely fresh flowers from the garden, and it is beautifully situated; we enjoyed walking direct from the house up to the Malvern Hills with the help of a very detailed hand-drawn map to guide us through the woods behind the house. The owners seem to have thought of everything. Many thanks for sharing this part of your wonderful house.

July 2018
We had a lovely time.. The view from this quirky flat is amazing. The house and garden is well maintained. It’s a 50 meters away from Edward Elgar’s old house. The room is spacious. Like other people who stayed there before us, we enjoyed a cup of tea and muffin on arrival. Nice little touch to show the hospitality from the owner. Malvern is a nice little town to wonder and relax. The gas lamps that inspired C S Lewis can still be seen in Malvern college and on the main road. From the house you can access the hill directly and it’s only 30 -45 mins walk to the Worcester Beacon. Ledbury only a short 15 mins drive from the house, where no homogenous shops are seen and sweet old grade I listed buildings take you back in time to meet Elizabeth Browning and John Masefield. Eastnor castle is a few minutes down the road and is sure to impress the little ones if they like fairy tales. Milk shakes and home made scones at kettle sings, Morgan factory tour... the list just goes one. We had a wonderful time to unwind and soak up the culture. Thank you for sharing the house.

There were a few personal touches in the place which showed care and attention.. Cup cakes and ice creams awaiting us on arrival which were very welcome after a warm drive there. Flowers from the Garden left at the door to say welcome. Then left alone to enjoy our experience but with clear instructions of how to bake contact if help needed

Stayed while taking a break to explore the Cotswolds. The house is utterly stunning. With the apartment situated on the top floor, with the owners living in the rest of the property. The apartment is roomy, well appointed and has everything you would need for a comfy stay. There was a really nice touch from the owners in the form of a vase of flowers from the stunning gardens and cupcakes left out for us, as well as a pint of milk, teabags and coffee so we could have a much needed brew on arrival. There is a convenience store about 50 yards away for essentials and everything else you would need in nearby Malvern. The views are breathtaking and an absolute pleasure to wake up to. Location wise, it was a perfect base to explore the region and a delight to return to after a day's exploring. Only drawback would be that it's not really suitable if you have mobility issues, but they do state that in booking information. Cannot recommend highly enough and if we come back to the Cotswolds we'll definitely book again.

It was such a treat to stay at this lovely house.. The apartment was spacious and comfortable and the views were fantastic. The owner was so helpful when we asked to leave our bags early and there were many thoughtful touches such as flowers, cakes and milk which were much appreciated. We could have happily stayed longer.

We made a very late booking and Sykes were very helpful.. Couldn't have asked for better service. A very nice comfortable flat. A touching welcome of milk for tea and also cakes from the owners. Be aware of the stairs as described in the description and also some sloping ceilings. I am just over 6ft and didn't find them a problem. Just need to be aware of them though. If we have the opportunity we will go back. Suggest you put coordinates into a satnav. Ours tried to take us on a road above the house. The drive entrance is on the A449. Coordinates: N52.08543, W002.33369. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
