Quiet and very rural location - peaceful! but accessible Facilities - comfy beds, rooms pleasantly warm with plenty of walking, pubs, National Trust, etc (seasonable), - a few miles to Shobdon Airfield for light aviation enthusiasts to watch or take a trial flight with a professional pilot Not far from Morrison's supermarket on outskirts of Leominster town. "Croft View" very comfortable and we enjoyed seeing the horses Our only (polite) "moan" was the shower which was more like a gentle "trickle" of water rather then a wake up call first thing in the morning! -:) Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Croft View and would recommend to others THANK YOU SYKES!!

We have stayed in this apartment twice.. The first time was in Winter, and the apartment was extremely cosy. The second time was late Spring and the apartment was just as nice with the added bonus of great weather, fantastic scenery and mares with very young foals to admire. Lots of things to do in the area, even when the weather is inclement.

Homely apartment with super welcome pack. Met on arrival by Candy and Larry the dog. Wonderful to see the natural surroundings with horses, deer, birds of prey and numerous other animals and birds in the local area. Super base for visiting National Trust and other historical buildings and nature reserves. We did not try the local pubs but understand all very good for food, Sorry to have to go home. We do not have a dog but would have been perfect.

Fantastic quiet holiday enjoyed it very much

June 2018
On paper the accommodation looked good but lacked a lot.. There was a lack of cooking utensils for one thing and a lack of crockery, some was chipped.what was there. The hob was well worn, did not use but used the oven, just OK. The fridge was too small to be of any use. Some elements of the kitchen really needed re-designing, the space was there but not put to good use. The kitchen area looked very dated. The front door did not close properly. We did`nt have hot water for 5 days and the water was turned off twice as the owner was trying to find the leak, On the positive side, the views were brilliant and we enjoyed watching the horses. We did have some good days out and tried to stay out as long as we could. We have stayed in better. Sykes rating is far too high of this property.

The situation of the property was excellent, but there were one or two things unfortunately wrong with the property.. The cooker did not work on the top properly and it was very difficult to cook vegetables for example. The oven did work but we could not cook things which required boiling or frying. The interior of the cooker had not been cleaned very well. Also, the owner did not tell us about how to sort the rubbish for collection until I asked her. This meant taking items out of the bin and putting them in other bags. An information book or sheet would have been helpful. Having said that the wifi worked well which is not always the case in cottages!

May 2018
The cottage was lovely and the welcome pack was a lovely gesture and helped supplement the supplies we'd brought with us.. The farmer and his wife were welcoming and gave us information about local places to eat. We would definitely use this cottage were we to come back to this area.

We had a terrific time staying at croft view.. With a 6 month old baby and two dogs we were both in need of some rest and fresh air. This is exactly what we got. The apartment had beautiful views and was lovely and cozy. It was clean, well equipped to cook each nght and beautifully decorated. Candy had gone to great trouble to accommodate our baby and it made a great difference. We saw pheasant from the windows each day, and deer twice. All in all a wonderfully restful stay that I would recommend to others.

This is a comfortably furnished and well equipped, dog friendly apartment located in a peaceful rural setting with some lovely views .. It’s a good base to explore the area and there are 2,good pubs located about 2 miles away in the nearby village of kingsland serving excellent food . We received a warm and friendly welcome and despite some snowy cold weather the apartment was warm and cosy with excellent heating . Very good vfm and thoroughly recommended .

My husband, myself and our dog had a lovely time here. The owners are very pleasant but unobtrusive. The bed and bedding are superb. The welcome pack is a thoughtful bonus. There are miles of walking on the doorstep and yet you can get to Leominster and Ludlow reasonably quickly. The peace is amazing with just birdsong and the occasional whiney from one of the mares. Will certainly visit again

What can I say - if you want a quiet weekend by yourself, or with the one you love (and maybe a doggie or two) this is the perfect little getaway. The owner is even more charming than the place itself, she will really go above and beyond just to make your stay as wonderful as possible. We will definitely be returning!

Very comfortable, very clean upstairs apartment and the windows overlooked some stunning countryside. Even with rain and gales we managed to see deer, and a hawk catching it's prey on the wing from the windows. The directions and welcome were outstanding and there was a great welcome pack for us. And the quiet meant an excellent sleep in a lovely comfy bed! Lots to do around Herefordshire and Shropshire and some great pub meals, especially The Corner's Sunday lunch.

May 2015
I booked this accommodation as a 'get away from it all' place to get some much needed study completed. On my arrival the accommodation was spotlessly clean and a real home away from home! So peaceful and relaxing...almost a little too relaxing given the amount of work I had to do! Candy the owner was a great host and the welcome pack provided on arrival is the best I've ever seen. I was left reluctant to return to the hustle and bustle of the real world! I will definitely be returning so I have an opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside surrounding the property, in fact if this property wasn't already booked I would have extended my booking and stayed a few more days! Can't recommend this property enough!

November 2014
We can only wholeheartedly agree with all the comments made by previous visitors that Croft View is a little gem. It was a late decision to have a few days away and the welcome and amenities could not have been better. Even the weather for late October was kind to us.

The standard of the accommodation is the best that we have encountered. We were made to feel really at home. Even the dogs were happy!

September 2014
On our arrival at Croft View, the owner welcomed us. On entering the cottage, there was a lovely welcome basket of goodies, including fresh bread, cheese, eggs, chocolates and even some provisions in the cupboards just in case. The cottage itself is wonderful. Spotlessly clean and prepared to a very high standard. The owner is a lovely person and nothing is too much trouble. The location is perfect for peace and quiet. The only sounds we heard were the tractors bringing in the harvest, and the wildlife. We would highly recommend staying at Croft View. A beautiful place, in a wonderful county.

We have had short stay holidays all over the UK this year, but this little gem is by far the best! The elevated position gives sweeping views over rolling countryside in all directions and is perfect for wildlife and bird watching. From the moment we arrived, we could start straight on to our relaxing break due to the warmth of the welcome, the unusual generosity of the well thought out "Welcome Pack", the very comprehensive equipment and the comfortable high quality furnishings - not to mention the beautiful flowers. This little holiday let is more like a 'home-from-home' due to the care and thought put into it by the considerate and helpful owners. With lovely walks and places of interest on the doorstep + old towns like Leominster, Hereford and Ludlow with in easy reach, we definitely plan to return soon in a different season.

What a fabulous setting and what a great welcome! Loads to do and see round about and a very well-equipped property. Lots of bird life - we heard a cuckoo within a minute of arrival. So peaceful and off the beaten track but by no means remote. Excellent directions made it easy to find. We shall return!

The location is perfect for exploring Herefordshire, Shropshire and Powys. The apartment is light and airy with marvellous views, in a beautifully quiet and secluded setting. It is tastefully decorated, very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

June 2014
We loved the quiet area and the great welcome, the welcome food basket and snacks! There is so much to see in the area that we intend to return at some point. The accommodation was ideal for us and really could not be improved upon in our opinion. The Farmers Market in Leominster was an added bonus on the Saturday of our stay. The owner was great at suggesting places to visit, like the Elan Valley and Ludlow.

The accommodation was spotless and to a very high spec. The owner, Candy, was very welcoming and has thought out everything you would need for a perfect break. The outlook is amazing, terrific views over the valley in the heart of the countryside. If you're thinking of booking this cottage ,don't hesitate ,do it now. You'll have a great time and we'll be going back as soon as we can. Can't recommend highly enough.
