Apartment 6 is a ground floor apartment in a modern development just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Whitby in North Yorkshire. The apartment sleeps four people and has two double bedrooms, a family bathroom and an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area plus a separate snug/TV room. There is roadside parking available and the apartment is just a couple of minutes walk from the shops, pubs and amenities of Whitby. Apartment 6 is a superb holiday apartment in a wonderful town location. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.

All ground floor. Two double bedrooms. Bathroom with corner bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Small snug/TV room.

Area
Whitby in North Yorkshire remains one of the regions most popular tourist hotspots, and with good reason. The town is at the mouth of the River Esk, and this old fishing port retains mush character in its winding streets and hidden alleys. There is a picturesque harbour, sandy beach and the famous Whitby Abbey. Close to other seaside destinations such as Scarborough, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby is also ideally placed for heading inland and exploring the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors National Park.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

I was really surprised at the standard of this apartment.. There was a little wear and tear which is to be expected, but this apartment had everything and more that you could have wanted and it was immaculate. There were four adults and a dog, so we found the use of the washing machine really helpful. The only downside was that we didn't manage to get the oven switched on, despite the instructions in the handwritten manual, because the settings had all worn off. However, this didn't spoil our experience and we would definitely stay here again.

The only downside was the apartment was too hot, we turned the underfloor heating off in every room but it was still on and didn’t seem to get any cooler? This meant we had to have the windows open with the heating on, which is obviously a waste of energy! Many thanks, Helen

Fabulous mini break.. Apartment well situated. Bit of an incline at the end but that is Whitby, we had a relatively fit 89 and 85 year old with us and it wasn’t too much of a problem ! Modern, clean and spacious apartment. The following points are minor but maybe worth considering: The back bedroom could have done with access around both sides of the bed. Kitchen tap took some getting used to , soaked a couple of times! Bathroom fabulous but could have done with a towel rail to dry towels and toilet not a good flusher. Otherwise a great time was had and the weather was superb

Apartment 6 at The County provided a great base for our week in Whitby with our 2 dogs.. First impressions were that the apartment was bigger and better than we had expected. Just a short walk to the town as well. We had great days out including Robin Hoods Bay by car and Pickering by steam train. Car parking was not an issue, there was always a space to be found close by. We definitely want to stay there again.

It was a lovely holiday and we enjoyed it very much , other people had bother parking but we had no trouble.. The apartment was fantastic , very clean and had everything in... I would very much stop there again and recommend it. :-)

Really lovely property and very central location, we loved that it had 2 double bedrooms, as usually the 2nd bedroom is a single! Spacious room and a gorgeous bathroom and shower. Only negative for me was no wifi and was too warm for me, the underfloor heating must be wonderful in the winter but as it was a warm week (luckily!) we didnt need it but didnt seem to be able to turn it off. So lovely to be in Whitby again, one of my favourite places.

Really dog friendly area and there is a pub just round the corner (First In Last Out) which is dog friendly and lots more dog friendly pubs and cafes in town (Humble Pie and Mash, The Elsinore, The Station Inn, The Dolphin, Becketts just to name a few!) Also a lot of the shops were fine with our dog coming in and they can go on several of the boat trips and steam train - but the steam train trip is quite expensive. Lots to do for all ages, great holiday area.

Excellent facilities. Car parking not always easy. Close to town centre. Good situation for Yorkshire moors. Loved Whitby, plenty of places to see, abbey well worth the steps walk. Lots of places to eat out. Clear instructions to access property. Great for winter break as well as summer.

all very comfortable and well equipped.central location made trips out very easy.being able to take the dog,it was just a shame there was no garden but did manage to fine one or two green patches for walkies.

This flat is ideal for your holiday stay just far enough out to be quiet at all times. However we were met by a dreadful smell of smoke as the previous tenents had ignored the no smoking rule. The cleaner had left us a note appologising for the same, it was in no way her fault and she had done her best to clear the smell. That said we had a lovely week with our grandchildren doing all the the things that Whitby is famous for, even the donkeys turned out!
