The apartment is in a fantastic location in the heart of the lovely Kendal.. It's extremely comfortable and well equipped. Getting into the designated parking space can be fiddly so be prepared if you have a very large car.

A lovely apartment in a great location.. Having two children aged 1 & 3 years old we found the location to be prefect as we could easily walk into the town for restaurants and there is a lovely little park just a short walk away. The cottage was clean and the owners were very helpful and on hand when needed. We will be back . Thank you

If you are using public transport this is an excellent location.. 10m to railway station. 5m to bus station. 5m to Marks & Spencers (food hall) and Tesco Express.

Perfectly sized flat for my parents and uncle and me.. Comfortable and ideally situated to explore Kendal and the Lake District. Soon got the hang of parking in the car park, angling car past the tree into its spot!

A very comfortable apartment in the heart of Kendal.. Conveniently placed for a short walk to cafes, shops and the town's attractions. Kendal is also a good location for exploring the southern Lake District. Clean and spacious accommodation. The only down-side is the parking can be a little tight in the cobbled court-yard.

June 2018
Great apartment in a perfect location.. Everything we needed was right on our doorstep, including a Tesco and plenty of pubs, and the market on the Saturday morning was a pleasant surprise, and great for stocking up on fresh strawberries and pastries. The apartment was fully equipped, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here. As mentioned there is only one space, and we tended to park in front of the church.

Apartment was much better than I was expecting, the pictures don’t do it justice.. The area was good, right near the high street and a short drive for all the lovely walks. We had a lovely week. Only downside was the downstairs neighbour who was a little distracting at times but he was harmless, just a little irritating.

Just love this apartment .. just one time , we were a bit disappointed when CHERRY PICKERS were used to help do painting work & we had no idea that was going to happen . If it wasn't for the fact the weather was beautiful we would have been so cross . But the location & the apartment in general is beautiful . Just adore it , . Coming back for my birthday in June

Had trouble with lack of hot water from combi-boiler.. Had to get in touch with owner who had it fixed as soon as it was possible

August 2017
He location was superb and the apartment overall was first class it exceeded our expectations and we had a great week and really liked Kendal with a great eighteen hole putting green only a hundred yards away and so many places to eat it really was great and the weather was good as well.. The only drawback was the journey up and back which was horrendous over 18 hours travelling for 400 miles but NOTHING to do with Sykes overall it was a great week

The owner called round in person to introduce himself and check that we had all we needed.. The location is central so the apartment is in walking distance of all amenities and a five minutes ' walk from Kendal railway station. There is parking for one car in the mews but just across the road is a free car park for additional cars.

Great location, great property.. On the strength of this property, we booked another Sykes cottage in Kendal.

December 2016
Arrived on 17th December for 3 weeks.. Everything was ready and a very nice surprise to have a full Christmas tree twinkling in the dining room and two bottles of Champagne in the fridge. Everything you could ever need is in the apartment and with having two young children the washer and tumble dryer were invaluable. The car parking space was also a big hit. Two double / King size beds were really comfortable and the single room was great when we had a visitor stay a few days with us. The owner made sure we were settled and checked if we needed anything. All the kitchen items were clean and fully stocked. the heating was more than adequate in all rooms. The close proximity to the town centre is a great draw for this property. This property will be the first choice for my next visit later this year. Thanks again to Mr Robson.
Mr Rooke, December 2016
November 2016
Great place if you want to stay centrally.. Kitchen equipment is a little scant (e.g. pans are all small and looking v worse for wear, no scales). And we only got towels for one of the 3 bedrooms (situation rectified after 24hrs). But they are the only things that would improve it. Would have booked again for next year but someone else got there first!
Dr Brown, November 2016
September 2016
Apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped and owners when spoken to very friendly.. They contacted us to make sure all was well which was appreciated. The location in centre of Kendal was quiet and perfect for going out to the shops and for a meal. Parking in allocated bay was a little tricky due to cobbles and maybe should be a warning about this a low cars could bottom out. However we managed and there is free parking on other side of the road (a busy road) if you really could not manage it, although this would not be too convenient when unloading and unloading luggage. Would still definitely recommend as a place to stay.

We particularly liked the heated bathroom and kitchen floors, the great array of windows to control the indoor temperature. The bedrooms were great, good TV channels, excellent wi-fi. The closest store only about six minute walk. Being close to the down town activities was good for keeping us up and on the go. Sweet little town and dreamy apartment!

We very much enjoyed the week. It is comfortable, clean and a good size with big communal rooms. The owner was very helpful to us and the car parking space was very welcome. Happy to recommend.

The apartment was comfortable and very conveniently placed near the town centre, within a few minutes' walk of shops and Kendal's many good eating places. An ideal base for researching my ancestors in the County Archives and exploring their homes in the car.

The apartment is in a great location right in the heart of Kendal. Arriving on a cold dreary November night the apartment was lovely and warm on our arrival, a great welcome. Spacious, clean and functional, it met all our requirements - perfect for 5 adults.

The location of the apartment is fantastic, so close to shops and restaurants! On arrival to the apartment everything was spotlessly clean and just basically a home from home! It's a great base for anyone visiting the area! We would definitely book to go back and stay!

This looks to be a very recently and dramatically renovated apartment in a very nice, historic stone structure. Everything seems brand new, including plumbing fixtures and kitchen appliances. Two of the bedrooms are quite pleasant, and the third very small. Just one bathroom, but it is spacious, as is the living room and dining area. Location is excellent, with windows looking out on the old catholic church, immediate walking access to the network of cobblestone yards and narrow streets that is the heart of Kendal. Just a block from the river, and from the Saturday street market. Kendal is outside the thickest part of the tourist scene, and in early July we found many (most?) restaurants closed for dinner. Owners are reasonably responsive via text (if you have such service whilst traveling), though communications is sometimes a bit muddled. Sustainability: No means of recycling provided (though it is offered in the town). Efficient heat & hot water system. Energy hog ventless electric dryer. An odd mix of efficient and very inefficient lighting. Parking: A single spot, conveniently close but very crampt and tricky to get into. Hard to avoid bottoming out. Best to back in. Free parking is also available across the road by the river, but this gets very full during the day. Pros: Location, well-equipped kitchen, everything clean and new. Wish List: A recycling bin. Towel hooks in bathrooms and bedrooms. Make it strictly non-smoking. Replace those ridiculous streetlights outside the windows with lower-mounted, fully shielded fixtures that shine down and not into windows! A few DVD’s or books left for guests to enjoy. Unlike other rentals , the owners supply only a partial role of toilet paper and not a bit of soap, shampoo, tissues, or dishwasher or laundry detergent. It would be nice if some small quantities of these were provided for convenience. Shrub trimming and some resetting of cobblestones to make parking more usable.
