Apartment 6 is a stunning ground floor beachside apartment situated 20 yards from the lovely sandy beach in the Devon coastal village of Bigbury-on-Sea. The apartment sleeps four people in two en suite bedrooms, a double (can convert to twin) and a twin. On the same level is an open plan living space with fantastic sea views, seating area, dining area, fitted kitchen and big glazed doors to a big terrace with outdoor furniture. Within the same building are shared leisure facilities, an indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym, all free of charge, and a smart bar/restaurant. Outside is a Off road parking in a reserved parking space for one car. Positioned beside an excellent beach and with amazing views of the sea, beach and Burgh Island, Apartment 6 is a very special place for a Devon break on the coast.

One level. Two bedrooms: 1 x super king size double (can convert to twin) with en suite bathroom with bath, shower over, WC and basin, 1 x twin with en suite shower room with shower, WC and basin. Open plan living space with seating area, dining area, kitchen and glazed doors to terrace. Shared use of leisure facilities and restaurant/bar within the building.

Lovely spacious apartment with an unbeatable view you would never tire of and we were lucky to have sunshine 6 out of 7 days but it was very cold and the underfloor heating only worked in the en suites! We used the various electric heaters quite a bit !. Having said that, the apartment was really well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. The pool was really nice but too cold especially for our 2 year old granddaughter hence we only used it the once which was a shame! The cafe food was ok but a tad expensive for basic menu. The roads leading to the apartment/ beach are a pain ( often the case I know for this type of location!) but they are particularly narrow and the going is sooooo slow!! As you drive down towards the beach tho........ you forget about the frustrating drive because that VIEW ! ***Owners Response*** We are delighted that you enjoyed the wonderful views from the apartment, and had such wonderful weather. The underfloor heating at the property works is very efficient and simple to operate and we’re really sorry that our caretaker Jenny wasn’t contacted because she would have been happy to help you .

This is a comfortable apartment with 2 big comfy sofas and one big comfy chair and a super large and comfy main bed and twin bed room.. Ensuites very good. The beauty of being right on the sea front and watching the tides part to each side of the island to form a very broad causeway (and link to very large sandy beaches either side gives endless enjoyment). the big ground floor terrace was a bonus. Nice BBQ. Downside, no mobile signal at all until 2-3 miles away for us so hard to handle work. Wifi in apartment. Beach not crowded, not even on Bank Hols, and simple surf and paddle board hire facilities. Kite boarding and canoeing also good here. Club House great and little pool next to it for rainy days

This was our fourth visit to apartment 6 which is faultless.. However, the restaurant facilities on site are now very poor. We stayed 1st week in September but as far as the service from the restaurant goes it already felt like mid-winter. Advertised 'specials' e.g. Tues 2 for 1 steak night were cancelled without communication, the menu and resultant food was poor and on one occasion when attempting to get a meal at 5:30 (when the restaurant is supposed to open until 8pm in September) I was told that the chef had been sent home as "it did not seem very busy". This may sound like a small gripe but it is very difficult the get food in the area without a considerable drive. The local 'Bay View Cafe' has been shut for 2 years now and although the Pilchard Inn offers burgers and Pizzas access is reliant on the tide and vagaries of a 'Sea Tractor'. The nearest food shop and pub where access does not rely on tide times are 2.5 miles away along a narrow road with lots of traffic.

We enjoyed another lovely week at Burgh Island Causeway, there are some areas for improvement to the flat that we have shared with the owner, but overall, it is a comfortable & well appointed flat.. We very much enjoyed the beach, pool, cafe, views over to Burgh Island & the surrounding countryside as well as some wonderful days out at Powderham Castle, Salcombe, Saltram House & Overbecks.
