Firstly, the peace and quiet of the countryside was just what we wanted for a family short break away. 7 adults, 1 teenager and 4 under 10 it was not quiet to say the least, but was definitely a good catch up time for us all to be under one roof. We all had lovely rooms. 4 upstairs - 2 en-suite and a shared bathroom and 1 double room downstairs with a shared bathroom/walk-in shower room. The house was immaculately clean. The beds were comfy enough and the linen/towels were all provided for enough for everyone was clean. All kitchen supplies were plenty – didn’t feel anything was missing tbh. The little touches and thoughts put into the place was cute and the information for local sightseeing was informative. The highlight for us was Anita – the host, invited us up to her farm to see the ‘Lambing’. We were very lucky to see and learn about this as it was Easter it was definitely a fun couple of hours for us to walk up – some by car and see the lambs being born. Wellies were a must!! The other highlight was of course the hot tub. Day or night – rain, hailstones wind and shine – it was perfect. There are local shops within driving distance – you may want to bring eggs, bread, butter, your breakfast foods for your first morning. Bring your own toiletries of course. Ice is in the freezer for you, ice bags are provided for more if required and milk to get you started, as well as tin foil, cling film washing soap etc and a lovely hamper on arrival. Extremely helpful and kind hosts made it even more of a pleasant stay.
