Area
Llandrindod Wells, located in Powys, Wales (within the traditional confines of Radnorshire), is a cheery and welcoming community. The town is home to a number of historical landmarks, such as elaborate Victorian and Edwardian era buildings. Towards the end of August, Llandrindod Wells hosts its annual Victorian Festival, sometimes known as "Victorian Week" among locals. Some attendees like to dress the part by donning period-appropriate Victorian, Edwardian, or other antique garb, and many stores along the main street decorate their storefront windows accordingly. A variety of annual events take place here including the Radnor Fringe Festival in Rock Park and the Radnor Hall Theatre's Live Music, Comedy, and Theatre Festival. Llandrindod Wells' lake is a Victorian relic and a famous tourist destination to this day, making it an ideal spot for a family outing. The Radnor Indoor Bowls Centre and the Radnor Outdoor Bowling Club provide a fun afternoon of bowling for residents and visitors alike. The Radnorshire Museum, the Rock Park & Heritage Centre, and the National Cycle Museum are all worth checking out if you're interested in the region's past. As you travel across Temple Gardens, don't forget to stop at the statue of Thomas Jones. Beacon Hill is a lovely 4-mile track, and The Spa Walk offers gradual slopes and the chance to taste the waters at the Chalybeate Spring in Rock Park thanks to the town's rural location. Llandrindod Wells is a wonderful destination for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday.
