This wonderfully scenic region is known as The Marches and is steeped in history. There is a village shop, two pubs, one with a restaurant, and the area is best known as a popular destination for walkers and mountain bikers because of the Kerry Ridgeway; a gentle 15 mile route through the hills providing remarkable views in all directions (up to 70 miles on clear days)! Discover Montgomery and Powis Castles, the medieval towns of Bishops Castle, Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Machynlleth, and Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons National Parks. With easy access to Offa’s Dyke, many beautiful gardens to visit, steam railways and the coast about an hour’s drive away, this location is a real gem!
