We received a lovely welcome at the Old Stable, and were amazed at how every detail in the lovely converted barn was catered for. There were delicious welsh cakes, bathroom 'bits' and even a TV guide to make us feel at home. Wolfscastle is a lovely rural location, and the Pembrokeshire National Park only a 25 minutes easy drive away at most. Being so central in Pembrokeshire, you could easily get to any part of the coastal park, South, West or North. All had something fantastic to offer, including dog friendly beaches, except in some cases May - Sept. As dog lovers, the cottage owners are full of good advice on this subject and many others. Also there are towns with much to offer for everyone; St David's with its art, crafts and Cathedral, Narberth with some very classy shops and cafes. We particularly enjoyed our trip to the 'Creativity Cafe' there. 'The Bazaar' salvage and antiques yard also had lots of goodies to browse. Newport was another gem, with wonderful coastal views and some intriguing shops too, including the PWNC Bike Cafe with lots of veggie / vegan options and the best bacon sandwich ever! All in all it made for a wonderful holiday, with plenty of inspiration for another visit.
