Area
Holy Island's Trearddur Bay may be found on the island's western shore. Great expanse of low grassy shoreline, indented by several little bays and fine sandy beaches, is very stunning (European Blue Flag). Summertime activities include watersports, swimming, sailing, and windsurfing, as well as golfing at Holyhead's 18-hole links course. RSPB's South Stack Lighthouse Reserve is famous for its birdwatching, and there are many of rock pools and cliff-top treks to be discovered in the vicinity. Trearddur Bay itself has a variety of shops, pubs, and restaurants, but Holyhead, a short drive away, has a larger selection of services, such as a first-rate leisure centre, a charming harbour front, a marina, the world's second-longest breakwater, and ferry journeys to Dublin. Holyhead's Maritime Museum Cafe and Holyhead Breakwater Country Park offer lovely hikes for visitors to enjoy. Further away, you'll find Newborough, a beautiful forest and beach, and Beaumaris, a historic town with a castle. Plenty to do and see at a terrific location!
