Area
Trearddur Bay may be found on Holy Island's western coast. It is breathtakingly lovely, with miles of sandy beaches and rocky coves sweeping down to a low, grassy coast (European Blue Flag). In the warmer months, most people flock to Holyhead to play golf or enjoy one of the many water sports available, including sailing, windsurfing, and swimming. There is excellent birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve, as well as numerous rock pools and cliff top treks that nature enthusiasts can enjoy. Trearddur Bay has its own selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants, while the larger community of Holyhead is just a short drive away and boasts a wide variety of services and attractions such as a marina, the world's second longest breakwater, and exciting day trips on the ferry to Dublin. The Holyhead Breakwater Country Park is lovely, and the Maritime Museum's cafe is first-rate. Newborough, with its beautiful forest and beach, and Beaumaris, with its historic town and castle, are just a short drive away. In a fantastic setting, loaded with attractions!
