We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing break at Wendy and Jonathan’s ‘Glan Dwr’ cottage on Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey.
It’s a truly beautiful part of the world; we generally took the path from the back of the road, (Parc Tyddin) down to the beach, then walked along the coast to excellent ‘The Ship Inn’ pub for a bowl of mussels and a drink while watching the sun go down over the bay.
The property had everything we could possibly need; the size was more than ample. In the evening we’d often chill watching TV with the log burner on as the Ship shuts early, and we needed a little relaxation after a days walking.
Our dog Alfie also loved Glen Dwr, and the enclosed garden gave us the security to let him out.
There are three bedrooms; two doubles which have patio doors that open out into the garden. These not only afford pleasant views, but fill the property with light.
A car’s useful; then you can take the brief 10-15 drive to the stunning Lligwy Bay beach at the end of which you can take part of the picturesque Anglesey coastal walk. You may wish to visit Beaumaris which is a quaint town, and eat at the excellent ‘The Bull’ pub.
No criticism at all. We’ll hopefully be going back. If you like relaxing, maybe you should visit Glan Dwr too..
Highly recommended
