Moelfre is a charming seaside community on Anglesey's gorgeous east coast, with small homes, a quaint port, a beach, stunning views of Snowdonia, a working lifeboat, and two excellent pubs/restaurants. Discover great cliff-top treks with spectacular mountain views, or go fishing or observe marine birds, seals, and even dolphins at the popular local Seawatch Centre. The hamlet has a number of historic connections, the most recent being the sad Royal Charter shipwreck in 1859. Nearby, there are beautiful sandy beaches at Benllech and Lligwy, as well as the picturesque Red Wharf Bay, with miles of open dunes and abundant birds.
