In addition, Tremadog's location on the edge of Snowdonia National Park makes it an ideal home base from which to discover the surrounding landscape, which includes Wales' highest mountain, woods, beaches, and locations steeped in endearing history. Harlech, a seaside resort further away, offers visitors the chance to relax on the beach, learn about the town's mediaeval history at Castell Harlech, or simply enjoy the view from a nearby café. The nearby town of Criccieth and the Italianate village of Portmeirion are both fantastic day trips. The village of Tremadog is a great starting point for adventures in North Wales.
