Cefn-Yr-Efail is a superb converted Smithy in the hamlet of Golan near to the harbour town of Porthmadog on the North West coast of Wales. It has been renovated to a very high standard and can sleep eight people in its four bedrooms that are made up of three doubles (one with ensuite) and one twin. The cottage also has a ground floor family bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. There is a gorgeous, fitted farmhouse kitchen with a dining area as well as a spacious living room with a flame-effect electric fire. To the outside of the cottage is ample off road parking and a garden with decking, a gravelled area, a lawned area with outside furniture, all with stunning mountain views. Cefn-Yr-Efail is a lovely holiday cottage and is located in a wonderful part of North Wales making it the perfect location to spend a holiday exploring all that this region has to offer. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome. Note: There is restricted head height on the first-floor in the twin and double bedroom, please take care.

Area
The harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting and is known as the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and is home to the Ffestiniog Railway, where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The well known Italienate villageof Portmeirion is just down the coast. Situated on a rugged cliff top on its own private peninsula, Portmeirion is famous as the location of the TV show The Prisoner and the final episode of Cold Feet, and is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands. The area also boasts castles at Criccieth and Harlech, and superb unspoilt beaches such as Black Rock Sands, where the sands stretch as far as the eye can see.
