This detached cottage is a former entrance lodge to a country estate and boasts wonderful estuary views. Located on the outskirts of the seaside resort of Aberdovey, this property is full of character and features beams, slate flooring, the original bread oven, a wood-burning stove, underfloor heating and original ornamental fireplaces in the bedrooms. With sleeping space for up to four people, the accommodation of this cottage has been sympathetically restored and is composed of a kitchen, dining room and cosy lounge. Note: Cottage is set on side of main driveway, which leads directly onto A493 - children should be supervised and there may be some traffic noise. Note: Private, fully-tested water supply.

Packed with pastel coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, the settlement offers a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, including four miles of golden sand dunes running north to Tywyn - home of the world-famous Talyllyn Steam Railway. Popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen, these beaches make a wonderful spot for a day trip, whilst the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts. The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are also close by and offer a range of walks at different difficulty levels.
