Area Llanystumdwy is a lovely Welsh-speaking community situated between Chwilog and Morfa Bychan. The community is well-known as being the location of the National Writer’s Centre for Wales, and offers a fair selection of attractions, including the Amgueddfa Lloyd George Museum, walks along the Afon Dwyfor, and the Rabbit Farm. Dining options include the friendly Tafarn Y Plu, where you can experience local ales and hearty pub meals in a classic inn set within a Grade II listed structure. Just outside of the town lies Criccieth, where you will find a well-stocked petrol station for picking up essentials, the spectacular Criccieth Castle, Traeth Criccieth, Marine Beach, and the eateries of Swn-y-mor, Poachers Restaurant and Idris Café. Continue onto Porthmadog, where you may experience the wonders of the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway, the Maritime Museum, and Porthmadog Park.
