Tyn Towyn - Bwthyn Haf in Holyhead, Gwynedd

Description
Holiday home
One of two stone built cottages sitting side by side, Bwthyn Haf translates to 'summer cottage' which is just what this is. A short walk takes you to the lovely golden beach and pretty coves of the popular seaside village of Trearddur Bay, where you will find good places to eat and drink and a well-stocked local shop. "No fuss or frills, a great little bright, clean base in a really good location. Close to the coastal footpath, beaches, RSPB Reserve, pubs, cafes and restaurants." From Trearddur Bay you can follow the coast along the Coastal Footpath. Passing pretty bays, coves and the RSPB reserve, you will eventually wiggle your way to South Stack Lighthouse and another RSPB site. Whether you are going to the beach, walking the Coastal Path, or out on the water, this holiday cottage is ideally situated for an easy holiday. It is simply furnished in a contemporary style, and is sparkling clean and bright. Bwthyn Haf offers good value for money if you are looking for a straightforward, compact, bright holiday cottage at any time of the year. To view the other cottages at Tyn Towyn, click here.

Area
Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
