Anchorage House is a detached house very close to the sandy Porth Diana beach at the Southern end of Trearddur Bay on the Isle of Anglesey. Set over three floors, this cottage boasts four bedrooms comprising of a first floor double with en-suite bathroom and three ground floor bedrooms; one family room with a double and single bed and two twin bedrooms, as well as a ground floor family bathroom. The first floor consists of a living room with a log stove, a dining area, a fitted kitchen and a balcony with sea views. The basement comprises of a shower room, sauna and spa pool. Outside, the cottage has off road parking for two cars and a garden with patio, furniture and BBQ. Anchorage House is perfect for families and ideal for exploring Anglesey.

Area
Trearddur Bay is an Area of Outstanding National Beauty with a blue-flag beach and an abundance of crystal clear rock pools to explore. Surrounding the bay is a ridge of low lying cliffs that offer beautiful views across the sea and of the western shores of Holy Island. The summer is perfect for water-based activities such as swimming, sailing and windsurfing, whilst those who prefer to relax on terra firma will enjoy the 18-hole golf course at nearby Holyhead. To explore further afield, you can take a quick ferry trip to Dublin and enjoy the famous Irish hospitality. At the South Stack Lighthouse, nature enthusiasts can take advantage of the RSPB Reserve and view a variety of birds in their natural habitat.

Location was fantastic.. Just being able to cross the road to the beach was amazing. There was plenty of room for the kids and adults to chill out separately or spend time together. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our trip. We had some queries over the hot tub but the owners helped to address these during the stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would be keen to return.

This was my first experience of self catering in UK and I was very happy with it.. The house was more than I expected and it’s beach location was a bonus for our two small grandchildren, they didn’t want to go home! The owners Sandra and Steve were very helpful and contacted us with restaurant suggestions and places to visit. They were easily contactable before and during the visit when I wanted to ask questions. Whilst we were there a sink in the ensuite was slow to empty, when we mentioned this to Steve he took immediate action and sorted it out. We can’t wait to visit again.

Fantastic house with everything you could want! The house was clean, very spacious and comfortable, the beds were amazing !! We went away with our 3 boys and my parents, we never felt crowded or on top of each other. The view is outstanding and something you would never grow bored of! Even though the photos show that this property is close to the shoreline, you don't really get it until you stand in the upper floor living space and gaze out of the windows.. It's truly mesmerising! The owner waiting back for us to greet us personally, even though we had been caught up in Friday evening traffic-what a start to the holiday to have such a friendly face greeting us (along with homemade cake, chocolates and a bottle of wine). The property is amazingly well equipped with all the bedrooms having huge fluffy pillows and bedding to cosy up in. The copious amounts of bathrooms made family and friends living a breeze with plenty of heat and hot water for all. That aside, it didn't stop us jumping in the sauna every day after the long walks up and down the coast path, right on the doorstep. The upper floor open living space is where we spent most of our time (when not outside) and there were plenty of comfortable seating options all around the room. All the utensils you could wish for are in the kitchen if you chose to stay in a cook in the kitchen, but a short walk away is a host of places to eat from ice-creams at the sea-shanty cafe, through lunches to fabulous dinners at the Balck Seal.

Friendly, thoughtful and considerate owners greeted us on arrival at Anchorage House, and gave us lots of useful information to assist us and make the most of our stay in Trearddur Bay.. Attention to detail has been paid throughout the house and its facilities, and the level of cleanliness was excellent. The view from the house is amazing, as is its location within the bay. Trearddur Bay itself is lovely, with a fantastic beach and places to eat out.

We stayed here as a big family for a week in July. Really loved the place. It was perfect for all our needs and was great for the little toddler: close to the beach, travel cot, stair gates and toys/books included. The house also had a nice selection of DVDs, ample off road parking (we had three cars but I would say you could easily have four-five) and we loved the sauna. I would highly recommend this place.

The location of Anchorage House is wonderful.. Diana Bay is perfect for swimming, kayaking and making sandcastles. The views from the house are stunning and we had a relaxing and comfortable stay. We intend to return!

Lovely place, very well equipped, high chair, travel cot and even stair gates are available. Very spacious living accommodation with parking for 3 cars or more, I’d assume the owner wouldn’t have a problem with you bringing your own boat or jet ski along with you. There’s nice lawns at the front and rear with a gate to the front border. The jacuzzi and sauna are on the lower level around the back ( accessible from the main house) along with two showers and even an outside court yard with a cleaning facility which was very handy when your coming in from the beach which is 100 yards away. WiFi is fast along with a smart tv loaded with all different channels. :-)

We have just had an amazing week staying at Anchorage House Trearddur Bay, with family & friends also staying in Porth house next door.. A very thoughtful welcome touch by the owners on arrival to find the lovely gifts left for us. Wonderful location with glorious sunsets to see while sat on the balcony, and some great eateries in the locality to try out. Beautiful area to stay with some great walks and the beach directly opposite to while away the sunny days that we have had. Trearddur Bay has to be one of the prettiest bays on Anglesey and Anchorage House, with direct access to a small sandy cove within 30-40 steps from the front door has arguably the best spot in the whole of the bay.. I just can't imagine a nicer spot than this, made even better by restricted local parking, which means you have almost exclusive use of the beach/cove. Anchorage House itself is well stocked and has plenty of extras like a DVD collection and childrens toys that you don't find in most holiday cottages. The owners were available to show us around the house and give advice on the local sights and places to visit. We stay in a lot of holiday cottages, but I would imagine we'll be regular visits to Anchorage House.

Anchorage house is beautiful and is in the most fantastic location.. The views are amazing. The accommodation exceeded all of our expectations. It is clean, comfortable and had everything that we required available for our use. We had a lovely family week away where we got chance to spend quality time in wonderful surroundings. A visit is highly recommended and we will definitely be visiting again.

Had a fabulous week at Anchorage House, lovely house with everything you could possibly need. The sauna and jacuzzi were very relaxing, and the log burner was very welcome especially as it was snowing outside, although this didn’t stop us from getting out and about. This property was extremely easy to get to from where we were travelling from Manchester.. We were met by the landlady who was extremely friendly and lovely and made us feel at home in her home. All the rooms were warm and spacious, the sitting room is stunning with views out over the bay. We had an exceptionally memorable 30th birthday party for my best friend, in beautiful surroundings. My friendship group book houses to catch up and get away for a weekend away from the kids most years and I would say this is the best we have ever been to - situation and the atmos of the house, absolutely would book again in the future.

We had a lovely stay. The house worked well for our family of two teenage children and a toddler - there was a cot, high chair, stair gate and a selection of toys.
