Plas Tirion Cottage is a detached cottage set on the owner's grounds near Mostyn in North Wales. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms which are made up of a double and a twin on the mezzanine floor. There is also a ground floor shower room, an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, and a utility. Outside there is an enclosed courtyard with furniture and a BBQ, and there is stabling and grazing available. Plas Tirion Cottage is fantastic for a memorable holiday at any time of the year.

Area
The small village of Mostyn is situated on the estuary of the River Dee, near the town of Holywell in Flintshire, North Wales. To the north west of the village is Mostyn Hall and Garden, a Grade I listed building. The market town of Holywell is five miles away and is home to St. Winefride's Well, one of the Seven Wonders of Wales, and the remains of the 12th Century Basingwerk Abbey. Within driving distance is the city of Chester, Ruthin and Betws-y-Coed.

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Loved our stay in here. Very tidy and clean cottage. Phil is an amazing host who is prepared to walk extra mile to help his guests. He is available anytime if you need sny help. We loved his welcome basket with a loaf of bara-brith a local delicacy, and a bottle of elderflower. Cottage has everything you expect. It's spacious and airy. Kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher. There is also an utility with washing machine and a tumble drier. Downstairs bathroom is spacious. Two bedrooms in upstairs with staircases for each.Beds are comfy. Wood burner stove is an added bonus for a winter visitor. The view is unmatchable. Several acres of the farm and the River Dee estuary on one side. And the horses next door. Shenelle loved feeding them with carrots and apples. This is for you if you want absolute peace and tranquility.

A really lovely barn conversion finished to a high standard. Loved the log burner and under floor heating. Bed was very comfortable and kids loved their open plan rooms. Would have liked to have stayed for longer! Owner very helpful

Phil met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome.. The cottage is within the grounds of Phil’s house, next to stables where you can look at the horses. Horses are also in the fields surrounding the property The cottage had a very modern feel to it, which is what we like, with a fantastic open plan accommodation which made it very sociable on our family break. A very large shower room and two good sized bedrooms. We all had a lovely time and would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved our stay here.. The view of the coast in the distance was the perfect way to start a day and the peace and quiet in the evenings was almost surreal. The cottage itself is exceedingly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The log burner made for relaxed and peaceful evenings, with all the firewood and kindling you could need supplied. The shower is powerful and warm, the beds comfortable and the kitchen stocked with everything you need except food. The TV was surprisingly high quality, equipped with Freeview and a Blu-ray player. From here we managed to head to Snowdonia national park, Conwy castle and a beach I have forgotten the name of. I would recommend plas tirion cottage to anyone and everyone, by far this is one of the best places I have stayed.

We have just arrived home from an amazing week at Plas Tirion Cottage.. What a fantastic holiday we've had! Phil, the owner, is extremely friendly, helpful and chatty - nothing is too much trouble. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and helped us to plan all of our wonderful day trips. Our 7 year old daughter had the time of her life staying on a Livery and waking up to the beautiful horses, chickens and cats everyday. The views are incredible and the cottage is clean and cosy. Gorgeous cottage, lovely surroundings and close to lots of lovely things to do.. Philip was great with us making sure we had everything we needed and let the little one feed the horses and chickens, coming back with fresh laid eggs was an added bonus! We visited Talacre and Barkby beach and Greenacres animal park all within a 15 - 20 minute drive and found a great family pub with a large outside play area Lyons Nant Hall Hotel. It was all really easy to do socially distanced and felt safe.

A wonderful little cottage in a nice quiet location.. The property is extremely clean, modern and well decorated with lovely views of the River Dee. Seeing the horses go in and out of the stables and having a visit from the friendly cat was a highlight for the kids. The owner showed us how everything worked and was around should we need any help or have any questions which was nice to know. We would definitely stay here again.

The cottage is beautiful and and welcome we received from Phil was outstanding.. We stayed in October and the log burner was lit when we arrived in the evening and the cottage immaculately clean and beautiful. The welcome basket was very welcome (delicious cake!) and the location is ideal for days out in Snowdonia, the north Wales coast, Liverpool and Chester. We loved it so much we re-booked halfway through the week to come again next year.

Loved staying at the cottage Phil made us very welcome ,its very quiet at night ,the beds are very comfortable.. We loved the underfloor heating and we made use of the log burner very cosy. There is a large tv and DVD player. The cottage is easy to find with SatNav it is up a narrow lane but this wasn't a problem as we hardly saw another vehicle. We had a fantastic holiday at Plas Tirion.. Our daughter loved being able to run around with the chickens and Kevin the cat. Being able to see, pet and interact with the horses was really special. All of the horses were very patient with a toddler running around and she loved them. The house was spotless and very well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed having a log burner. The views as well are incredible. We had a really lovely time and will definitely be back!

Very nice cottage in the North Wales countryside with beautiful views out to the estuary.. Our little boy enjoyed looking at the horses outside and meeting Kevin the cat! Phil the owner was friendly and left us to our own devices despite only being next door. You do need to drive to the nearest shop and pub which is in Holywell but this was not an issue for us. The website stated that the nearest pub was within an 8 minute walk but this was closed down. There was a table and chairs outside the cottage but it doesn't really have much of an outdoor area as it is within the main farm. Overall we had a really enjoyable stay.

This is a lovely cottage.. the owner was so helpful and easily accessible. The property itself has great views from the bedrooms and it's great to spend the evenings watching the horses graze as the sun sets. It's a charming property and would be very comfortable place to base yourself on any north wales trip. The quality of the bedding and towels were great and everything was clean and tidy.
