There is a complaint and compensation claim in process at this moment ,with all the things wrong with this holiday from our first arrival at mountain view, starting with the damage to furniture ,a complete dormitory in the property being out of bounds to all of our party because of the disgusting state it had been left in ,all the games and equipment was either damaged ,parts missing ,or that dirty that it all had to be scrubbed and cleaned before anyone could use it ,the photographs advertising this property are very old and do not show the true view of this property ,the whole holiday party including children spent the first 2days cleaning ,mending and making the property fit for use .. New equipment had to be bought into the property ,calls were made to the owner and the head cleaner, we received call backs from the head cleaner and Sykes ,the owner did turn up on the Thursday evening before we left to say he was glad we had got it all sorted and got on with our holiday ?, This was a holiday for the whole joint family from 9 months old to 98 ,and cost almost £5000 ,so why should we have to spend all that money on a property that was not fit for purpose at the time ,and spend two days of the holiday putting things right ,we have booked many cottages with Sykes in the past 10 years and this is the first time we have come across conditions like this . On the sat 31 aug after getting home and unpacking ,we sent a message to the head cleaner to make sure all was ok ,She replied with a Thank you for leaving the property in a clean and fit condition ,and also that she was doing a report for the owner with photos of all the damage done before our holiday and the dormitory that was trashed .sykes have in formed us that no reply has come back off the owner,but they will look into it ,well it is now two weeks since our return and three weeks since we first notified Sykes of the problems with this property . Looking forward to your reply and the owners answers .
