Aberdauddwr is a charming, former-farmhouse property set near the town of Lampeter in South Wales. With four bedrooms and a cot room, including one on the ground floor and one with an en-suite, the property can sleep up to eight. There's also a first floor family bathroom and a ground floor cloakroom along with a kitchen with dining area, a utility room and a sitting room with woodburner. Outside, there is off road parking for four cars plus a lawned garden with patio and furniture.

Area
Lampeter is the smallest and oldest university town in Wales, and boasts a fine selection of small, locally-owned shops. It also boasts a museum, a Welsh quilt museum and has a wealth of unique tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, regular markets and a fine food festival. Surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and rivers, the area is ideal for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. From ancient castles to theme parks, Lampeter is a great base to enjoy a holiday all year round.

Had a fantastic time away.. This cottage was just perfect and more than I had initially thought it would be. Malcolm was a lovely host and nothing was too much. He sent through information of local activities but to be honest, just having the chance to escape to a lovely rural location with a hot tub and stunning view over the fields was enough! Absolutely perfect UK break.. So many beaches and places to go within a short driving distance. The house was huge and extremely spacious, plus the fact that it was private and on its own was even nicer! We are planning on going back sometime maybe next year again! Would 100% recommend and Malcolm us extremely polite and helpful. Could not have asked for a better break away for my boyfriends 21st birthday.

This property was absolutely perfect for our family holiday.. perfect location and absolutely beautiful views. Malcolm was lovely and so helpful. He gave us a list of beautiful places to visit and they didn't disappoint. He really did make us feel at home in his property. The cottage was spotless, bathrooms pristine and really comfortable beds. plenty of space for the whole family. It was amazing to sit in the hot tub in the evening and watch the Red Kites flying above. Also the calves were my 3 year olds favourite. He loved loved seeing them every day and even named a couple. Views were incredible, hot tub was divine and well maintained, close to supermarket and takeaways :-) Well equipped cottage with everything you need and we extremely clean and tidy! 30 minutes to nearest beach... beautiful part of the country! The house was in amazing location with stunning views .. Had absolutely everything you could possibly need have never been to a holiday home so well equipped . Our family ranges from 3-72 and fitted us all perfectly . Inside was cosy and warm and spotless for our arrival over 3 floors so loads of room for large family . Hot tub was so relaxing again with amazing views . Owner Malcolm gave us some great ideas of places to visit and was so friendly . We were all so very sad to leave such a perfect place .

Fantastic holiday, 6 of us want and there was plenty of room in the cottage for all of us.. Brilliant area, only half hour drive to multiple beaches. Very friendly and attentive host, gave us examples of the best beaches/walks/takeaways, at the end of the phone for help at all times. The whole cottage felt very clean and well kept, made us feel comfortable with the current situation with Covid-19. Thank you Malcolm and family for a great week away.

Had a amazeing time here over the weekend with all our friends the cottage is big,clean and sleeps 7 they have all the essentials needed exspecially when your in the middle of a farm, it's well away from hustle and bustle and tucked in the country side, we made use of the hot tub provided in - 5 cold weather but we loved it, the owners where so lovely and couldn't do more for you and it was worth the 5 hour journey down definitely reccomend going here for a get away the views are stunning and it's peaceful and quite

A beautiful cottage in which the owners have thought carefully about everyday things that are needed.. Tastefully decorated, with good size rooms. Perfect, peaceful location with lots of space for the children to play, yet stay safe. Perfect location for exploring the local area. We had some fabulous days out. Beautiful farmhouse with views across the valley.. Very secluded with no one around, the host met us at the property, explained everything and gave advice on local things to see and do with our family and friends. The house is in fantastic condition, clean and tidy with everything you'll need to keep all ages happy. The hot tub was great, perfect for 4 adults to relax in under the stars. Our friends and I had a fantastic weekend and would highly recommend, a car is essential for this location.

The cottage was beautiful it had everything we needed the views were stunning the hosts were exceptional the lady even made welsh cakes for us, it had a welcome hot tub which made the grandchildren very happy.. It was situated close to Lampeter Aberiroen and New Quay and when your 11 year old granddaughter says this was the best holiday break ever amd she would like go and live in the cottage permanently i think that sums up our stay at Aberdauddwr thank you once again Malcolm and wife.

The views, the location for walking, biking and visits to the coast.. The very helpful and friendly owners who lived near by. Malcolm even set up our firework display on Hallowen! The hot tub wad a real bonus after our walks and biking.

Malcolm was very welcoming and helpful, giving us lots of advice about where to visit.. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The house is secluded with lovely views but not far from Lampeter for groceries. We had regular visits from some of the local Red Kites. There are some lovely beaches in the area. A lovely holiday.

We had an excellent family holiday here.. The owner was really attentive contacting us before we arrived and visited us several times during our holiday. He offered us great advice as to where to visit and places to eat. The accommodation was fantastic and was perfect for a family holiday with great views. The cottage was home from home .. It had everything we needed. Malcolm was an excellent host and provided us with a lot of useful information. The views from the cottage and the hot tub were amazing. A week was too short to visit all the beaches in the area. Our boat trip to New Quay to see the dolphins in their natural environment was worth every penny as we saw a number of dolphins swimming around our boat . Lampeter is a nice area to stay . It has a number of shops and restaurants nearby and is close to all areas we wanted to visit . We would highly recommended this cottage to all our family and friends. We can’t wait to return

Aberdauddwr was the perfect place to get away from it all, to relax in the peace with sounds of birds, baby lambs in the distance yet when our 3 young children chose to be noisy, we weren't worried about bothering any of the neighbours! We were well taken care of by Malcolm who helped us with general information about the hot tub and other facilities as well as excellent advice on where to go and what to do. He made us feel very much at home and lovely to talk to. Highlights were watching the Red Kites feeding in the field, watching the stars whilst relaxing in the hot tub, some beautiful sunsets, gorgeous views over the valley, dolphin watching in New Quay (we'd do the 2hr trip next time as there is a better guarantee to see dolphins), the beach at Llangrannog, the pretty houses at Alberaeron and more. It's a beautiful part of the country and Aberdauddwr is the perfect base to either go out to explore or to stay in and relax. We highly recommend it and thank you for a wonderful week.

This cottage is very homely and well appointed.. The decor is attractive and the bedrooms/bathrooms are of a high standard. The kitchen has excellent facilities, the table does seat 8 but the bench is more suitable for seating children than adults. The hot tub is a great facility and easy to use. The house is warm and cosy and there was a lovely welcome from the owners. The cottage is a few minutes from Lampeter’s centre which is quaint and has pubs, cafes and a decent Sainsbury’s.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage which was amply big enough for our party of 8 adults nice private location surrounded by amazing views which are even better sat in the hot tub viewing, nothing missing from the property at all the owner has truly made it a home from home, lovely comfy beds which were needed after the walks and pony treks we went on the kitchen had everything you needed and a large kitchen table which eight of us comfortably sat round for meals, lovely powerful showers with plenty of hot water to hand, we had a trip out to Ffos Las racecourse for st davids day meeting which was only 1 hours drive away we also went pony trekking in the Brecon Beacons, and did a costal walk at New Quay, there is, a Sainsbury's and Coop in Lampeter and a well stocked petrol station 2 mins away, we would definitely recommend anyone to book here you won't be disappointed.

Excellent rental. Everything you needed was available and if there was something you needed you only need to ask. We received a very friendly welcome on our arrival from the owners and we settled in very quickly. The Hot Tub is an excellent addition and the cows next door ! Beautifully decorated with lots of little touches which I personally liked. Comfortable beds and very large kitchen made our stay a Home from Home. The view on the raised terrace was amazing - even on a misty day - just beautiful. Not too far from the coast either - we visited all the dog friendly beaches along the Ceredigion coastline and it was stunning. Lampeter is very close by with takeaways and shopping.

A true 'escape to the country', very quiet and peaceful with spectacular views looking across the valley to green fields and hills. The farmhouse was very well presented and decorated to a high standard. There was a well stocked garage/supermarket about 1/2 mile away and lots a places to visit. A very enjoyable holiday.
