Located just outside of Charleston's historic downtown area and close to the shops, restaurants and bars of King Street, this home is in an enviable position within the city. And just like its surroundings, the building itself is steeped in history. Built in 1885, it boasts picturesque porches, hardwood floors and a crisp colour scheme. The kitchen is eye-catching with its bright green cabinets, and offers a bold contrast to the elegant Art Deco-inspired living area. Our favourite element, however, is the veranda. No trip to the southern states is complete without at least some of the relaxation taking place on a traditional covered porch, and this home offers a charming one where you can sit and while away the hours with a cool drink.
