Hidden behind tall ficus hedges in a quiet La Quinta neighbourhood, this sprawling home is an oasis in the desert. You’ll gravitate to the outdoor area naturally here – start your day with a morning coffee on the shaded patio, then take a dip in the pool when the afternoon gets hot and bask in the sun on a lounger. Gather around the firepit in the evening, then head inside for a soak in one of the many bathtubs and retire to the cosy beds – one of which is a sofa bed in the office. Then, see what lies beyond your door – Joshua Tree, El Paseo, and Palm Springs all await, just a scenic drive away.

Home truths:
*At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the office.
*There’s free parking for up to two cars in the garage. There is also unrestricted free on-street parking here.
*There will be regular maintenance services coming to the house, including pool, pest removal and gardening. Schedules are posted at the home.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing little ones, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground floor bedroom and bathroom here.
