You’ll find this abode in Alaçatı, a charming town on the Çesme Peninsula close to the Aegean Sea. Inside, it’s rustic and cosy with beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and antique furnishings. A sociable living space unfolds into a fully-equipped kitchen, meaning you’ll never miss out on conversations as you whip up a Turkish-inspired feast. Outside, the quaint courtyard enveloped in the scent of jasmine was our favourite place to relax with a cup of coffee in the mornings and a glass of fizz in the evenings.

When you’re ready to explore your surroundings, visit the Urlice Vineyard to try some local wine or mosey through the streets blooming with bougainvillaea to the ancient windmills. While away the hours on Ilica Beach, 3.8 kilometres away, before sitting down to the catch of the day in a traditional restaurant.
