Askival is a fabulous, detached Isle of Skye cottage in an elevated position in the village of Elgol. The cottage has two king-size double rooms and a twin room, all with en-suite facilities, along with a separate shower room. There is also a kitchen, and a dining room, a snug with sofa bed and a sitting room with a woodburning stove and French doors to a balcony with bench seating three and views to the harbour, on the mezzanine level. Outside, there is plenty of roadside parking available and a short walk down to the harbour. Askival is a wonderful family holiday base for exploring this sensational Scottish island, all year round. Note: This property accepts short breaks from October until the end of March only.

Area
Set at the very tip of the Strathaird Peninsula on the beautiful Isle of Skye, the rural crafting community of Elgol lies at the end of a single track road which runs from the village of Broadford. Quiet, peaceful and amid stunning scenery, Elgol makes a wonderful base for those seeking to get away from it all and rediscover nature. Experienced hill walkers and climbers have a choice of mountain trails to explore, while a picnic by the side of the Loch Coruisk is an ideal afternoon treat. Fishing boats operate from Elgol's small quay, and can transport visitors across the water and past the seal colony. For amenities including pubs, restaurants, shops and a petrol station, Broadford is just 15 miles from Elgol.
