Pebbles cottage is a delightful, detached cottage settled in a superb location on the shores of Loch Achilty, three miles from Strathpeffer in the Scottish Highlands. Set over the ground floor with one double bedroom and one twin, this cottage can comfortably sleep four people. There's also a bathroom and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with French doors opening onto a front patio garden with furniture. There is also ample off road parking outside this cottage. Fly fishing can be enjoyed on the doorstep, and walking routes and cycle paths can be found within easy reach, whilst for a wonderful day trip, Inverness, Loch Ness or even the Isle of Skye can be easily found from this charming cottage. At the end of a long day, Pebbles Cottage provides a great base to return to.

Area
Often compared to a Bavarian Mountain resort, the picturesque spa village of Strathpeffer owes its growth to the discovery of water springs during the 1700s, and was declared in 1819 to be the healthiest drinking water in Britain! The original Spa Pavilion has been magnificently restored after a period of disuse and now serves as a venue for a variety of events, including concerts, dances, dramas and exhibitions.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Private front patio with furniture, shared lawned garden. Sorry no smoking. One well behaved dog welcome. Shop 1 mile, pub with restaurant 5 miles. Note: Cottage is close to loch side, children to be supervised. Note: Fly fishing available by arrangement with owner.

The cottage is in a great location for visiting many scenic sites and is well located for some good hikes.. It’s situation is rural but close enough to Dingwall and Strathpeffer if you need a supermarket or fancy a coffee, lunch or evening meal at the deli cafe in Strathpeffer. We had a great Staycation here and would recommend this cottage and its location. The WiFi works well and the facilities are comfortable and adequate.

We had fantastic holiday.. Great setting right beside the loch. The kids spent hours swimming and playing in the loch and the grass area just outside the cottage. The owners were lovely and let us borrow their paddle board, bike and rowing boat. Would definitely go back again.

Pebbles Cottage was perfect! It was clean, comfortable and cozy for me, my two children and dog. The location by the loch cannot be underestimated, it truly is stunning. Mrs Rose is great. She made sure we had everything we needed and nothing was any trouble for her. If you're looking for a peaceful break in a beautiful setting, I can't recommend this place enough.

Make sure you take a good stock of supplies with you,if you run out of something you will be better off travelling the extra distance to Strathpeffer as the local general store in Contin is extortionate..

Lack of shelving in the bathroom.. No shaving point. Very cramped kitchen. Storage areas needed. No DVD player as stated. I would suggest that the hot water needs looking at. Far to hot and no warning of this above the sinks.

My Friend and I had a wonderful holiday riding our motorbikes in stunning scottish scenery & glorious sunshine.. The cabin provided the perfect location to stay giving us a choice of places to ride to. It's was clean comfy and well equipped apart from the bathroom which lacked shelves to put things on when washing or having a bath. The shower was ok but not very powerful. Parking was great for cars or motorbikes and we were made welcome on arrival & departure by the owners. Overall would highly recommend for a holiday.

Great location for touring the north of Scotland, lodge on a quiet single track road but close to the main road, lot of wild life to see.. Owners really nice and helpful and helped sort out an issue with toilet. Would recommend.

Liked sitting on the covered patio listening to.. .absolute peace. We know the area well, having visited often since the late 1970s, but this lodge tops our list by a long, long way. The owners have a lovely light management touch - there if needed, otherwise discreetly absent. Delightful in all respects.

This is a calm and peaceful place next to a beautiful loch, but it is located in a good driving distance to major places of interest in Scotland. Simply a georgeous place for a relaxing vacation with a very fiendly landlord family nearby. A car is recommended for sightseeing tours.

Excellent accommodation and the location is ideal for everything; hiking and sightseeing because it is located near to the most lovely places and cities in Scotland.
