Brought my mum here for a long weekend. Got a little lost at first, not helped by the woman from the school house sending us in completely the wrong direction. Basically you drive past the closed down tea rooms, pass the village hall on your right then a school on right and keep on that narrow road for about a quarter of a mile. Cottage on left.
When we got there the cottage was freezing and even with the fire lit it took till late in the night to get warm because the storage heaters take time to build up heat. I thought it was going to be too cold for mum but luckily she'd fetched her hot water bottle! During the night however, it warned up, plus the weather, although rainy turned milder and the cottage was more than warm enough after that.
The beds are comfortable. The cottage is fairly well equipped. It's a lovely area with lots of birds to watch and there were deer in the garden when we arrived. Lots of walks from the cottage door once we'd encouraged the dog from the fireside. Especially the walk to the reservoir and dam, left of the cottage. The only drawback is the mirrors, me and my mum are short and all the mirrors were too high! It would be good to have a wall mirror near a window then we could see to get our faces on.
