Area
Surrounded by countryside, the Borders town of Kelso meets at the point of the Tweed and Teviot rivers, with a cobbled town square and streets, with Georgian buildings. Attractions popular among visitors include the prominent Stately home of Floors Castle, with its restaurants and gardens. Also within close proximity are Mellerstain House, Kelso Abbey and the Kelso races. Great fishing can be enjoyed on the Teviot, Tweed and Jed rivers and there are many excellent golf courses to choose from. The Borders region of Scotland also offers walking and cycling opportunities, including by the coast or over scenic hillsides and forests.
